Your hands hold powerful reflex points 🌿

In reflexology, the hands mirror the body just like the feet. By gently stimulating specific areas, you can encourage relaxation and support different body systems.

Try this simple technique:

✨ Head & brain reflex
Massage the tips of your thumbs and fingers for 30–60 seconds to help calm the mind and relieve tension.

✨ Lung reflex
Rub the center of your palm in slow circles to support breathing and relaxation.

✨ Digestive reflex
Apply gentle pressure to the base of the palm near the wrist to help stimulate digestion.

Take a few minutes today to give your hands some care — they work hard for you every day.

Interested in experiencing full reflexology? Your hands and feet both hold the map to the body.

DIY stress reset - Solar Plexus Reflex point
(also known as Kidney 1 in acupuncture)

This is one of the most well known reflexology points for calming the body. (It’s also the point that tends to make many clients fall asleep.)

Find it in the center of the foot just under the ball of the foot — in line with the 2nd and 3rd toes (on both feet).

Press gently with your thumb for about 30–60 seconds while breathing slowly.

You can also press in and rotate your thumb in small circular motions.

The solar plexus (also called the celiac plexus) is a complex network of nerves located in the upper abdomen behind the stomach. This nerve center helps regulate digestion, metabolism, and the body's stress response.

From an energetic perspective, the solar plexus is recognized as the third chakra, associated with personal power, confidence, and willpower. It influences self-esteem and decision making.

Many people feel an immediate sense of release when this point softens.

Stimulating the solar plexus reflex point can help move energy, calm racing thoughts, and bring the body back into a grounded state.

You can also stimulate the solar plexus reflex on your hands.

One of the things clients say to me all the time is…
“I wish I could feel this relaxed at home”

You can!

Here are 5 simple things I often share with clients that help calm & reset the nervous system between sessions.

1. Press your Solar Plexus Reflex point (also known as Kidney 1 in acupuncture)

This is one of my favorite reflexology points for calming the body. (It’s also the point that tends to make many of my clients fall asleep on the table.)

Find it in the center of the foot just under the ball of the foot — in line with the 2nd and 3rd toes (on both feet).

Press gently with your thumb for about 30–60 seconds while breathing slowly.

You can also press in and rotate your thumb in small circular motions.

2. Slow breathing
Try this simple breath I often recommend:

Inhale through the nose for 4 seconds
Exhale slowly for 8 seconds

Longer exhales signal the vagus nerve and parasympathetic nervous system that it’s safe to relax.

Even 2 minutes can shift how your body feels.

3.Gently pull down on your earlobes for 10–20 seconds.

The ear has small branches connected to the vagus nerve, and light stimulation here can help signal the body to slow down and relax.

4. Hum softly for a minute or two.
The vibration stimulates the vagus nerve through the vocal cords and throat, helping shift the body toward a calmer state.

And sometimes the most powerful reset is the simplest one…

5.Just lay down for a few minutes with no phone, no noise or distractions & put on soft relaxing music and let your body rest.

Your nervous system needs quiet moments to recalibrate & sometimes it just needs a few simple DIY self care techniques between sessions to feel calm & balanced.

Try doing the breath work while stimulating the solar plexus reflex point or while holding on the earlobes for even deeper relaxation!

On Saturday March 28th from 9-12pm we are offering an experiential workshop!

Many of the struggles we carry didn’t begin with us.

Patterns of stress, emotional regulation, and relationship dynamics can be passed down through generations shaped by family systems, survival patterns, and experiences that were never fully processed.

In this 3-hour experiential workshop, we’ll explore generational trauma through psychoeducation, somatic practices, and guided reflection. Together we’ll learn how inherited patterns show up in the nervous system, body, and relationships—and how awareness creates the opportunity for healing.

You’ll explore:
• How generational trauma is passed down
• How it shows up in the body and nervous system
• Tools to regulate, ground, and interrupt old cycles

This is a trauma-sensitive, embodied workshop designed to help you honor your ancestors’ resilience without carrying their unresolved pain.

Leave with practical tools, deeper awareness, and a compassionate framework for healing.

Sign up below and come explore with others who are also working through their personal journeys.

Most people don't realize how deeply sound affects the nervous system.

When the body is exposed to sustained tones and vibration, brain waves begin to slow down — shifting from busy beta → restorative theta.

This is why many people leave sound baths feeling:
• deeply relaxed
• emotionally lighter
• mentally clear

If you've never experienced one, this week is a beautiful place to begin.

For over 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children and adults with special needs.

Integrative therapies like reflexology, craniosacral therapy, and calming touch can gently support the nervous system, reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and help with sensory regulation.

When the body feels safe and supported, it becomes easier to relax, connect, and navigate daily life.

It’s truly an honor to help individuals and families experience more balance and ease. 💛
