Let’s welcome Sarah!

Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m 28 years old and a proud Arizona native. I’ve always been drawn to horses, and any chance I got growing up, I was out trail riding. Still, other sports and interests took over most of my time back then.

As an adult, I realized it’s never too late to follow that passion, so I started taking lessons about a year and a half ago. Around eight months ago, I found AZ Rodeo Ready, and it instantly felt like home. I fell right into a routine with them and have learned so much since.

I recently bought a young, unbroke horse, and through that experience, I’ve completely fallen in love with the art of horsemanship — the patience, communication, and deep trust it builds between horse and rider.

Now, I’m so excited to start this next chapter teaching everything AZ Rodeo Ready has taught me. I’ll be offering general riding and barrel lessons, and while I’m still learning every day myself, I believe that’s the beauty of it — we get to learn and grow together.

Let’s welcome one of our new instructors!!

Hi everyone! My name is Elise Wright. I am currently working as an Equine Vet Tech at a local Equine Veterinary clinic in Gilbert so I will be your weekend instructor!

I have had a love for horses ever since I was a little girl and the first lessons I took was when I was 10 years old but it wasn’t until a few years ago when Katie started Az Rodeo Ready that I started taking lessons more consistently.

I have always had a love for the western and rodeo atmosphere and have always dreamt of learning how to barrel race and being in rodeos and Katie has made that dream come true!

When Katie asked me to be an instructor, I knew I couldn’t refuse because the community at Az Rodeo Ready is unlike anything I have ever been apart of and you are guaranteed to learn something new about horses every time you walk into the barn and I am so excited to be apart of your experience here and help you grow as a rider and horseman/woman.
