Remember that Recovery is about much more than just stopping an addiction. Talking down about others that talk down about us isn't what Recovery is about. We need to pray for them. Also keep in mind that we have given many people plenty of reasons to believe that we wouldn't ever change due to our continued path of destruction.

Matthew 5:43-44 (KJV) Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Today as a Christian and Christ follower, I no longer deny the healing power of the Holy Spirit. I use to be in A.A. where they talk about God as more of a figure head but deny the healing power of the Holy Spirit. They teach you that you won't be recovered until the day you die and have you introduce yourself as an alcoholic and addict everytime it's your turn to speak. I don't believe that any longer because if you truly are a believer in Christ then you know that he has the power through the Holy Spirit to remove the obsession to drink and drug, completely healing you. Continuing to call yourself an alcoholic and addict is what the enemy uses to keep you sick. Today I am healed in the name of Jesus Christ and no longer am a slave to adddiction and the fear that comes along with it. The Lord led me to start a Christian recovery program that focuses on the healing power of the Holy Spirit. John Allan, Clean and Sober 01/01/02 by the Grace, Mercy and Unconditional Love of God!

Maybe something is stirring inside of you, and you can’t shake the feeling that God is up to something. You may feel like He is asking you to take a step of faith, but you’re not quite sure where it's leading. As the famous saying goes: "You don’t need to see the entire staircase, just take the first step". The reality is that God often chooses to illuminate only the next step and not the whole path ahead. There are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, He knows we would probably be overwhelmed if we saw the entire journey laid out in front of us. Secondly, it requires us to trust Him and to walk by faith.

If you sense God’s prompting to take a step of faith, then ask Him to give you the courage to take that first step. Then trust that He will reveal each new step as you continue to follow Him in obedience.

RESENTMENTS AND HATE:
God didn't design our bodies to hate and have resentments as it takes years off of our lives. Forgiveness is for us so that we can heal and move on, not looking back.
