We are proud to announce the official opening of Copa Health's new transitional housing facility in Phoenix, Arizona. This 50-bed center is dedicated to providing adults experiencing homelessness, especially those with mental health challenges, a stable and supportive environment as they transition to permanent housing. Operated in partnership with AHCCCS, this facility welcomed its first few residents this past weekend.

As we open our doors, we open new possibilities. Every individual who steps inside is taking a step toward a brighter, more hopeful future. Together, we are building not just a place to stay, but a foundation for new beginnings and lasting change.

Copa Health Announces their Partnership with Arizona Housing, Inc.

Through this transition, approximately 650 units across five AHI communities will now be served by Copa Health, continuing to have a safe, affordable place to call home while gaining expanded access to integrated health and employment supports.

"We are honored to carry forward AHI's legacy," said Dr. Shar Najafi–Piper, CEO of Copa Health. "This acquisition is another testament to Copa's commitment to enriching the lives of those we serve by providing both housing and healthcare – and by connecting people to employment supports that help them thrive. When people have a safe home and access to integrated healthcare, they are better positioned to seek and maintain employment, pursue education, and build stable futures. We look forward to expanding these coordinated services across AHI properties so residents can achieve greater stability and improved health outcomes."

This partnership underscores Copa's long-held belief that housing is healthcare.

At Copa Health, we know that safe, stable housing is a foundation for healing, growth, and recovery.

In 2026 we're proud to share that two of our newest Copa housing projects are now complete and one is nearing completion in 2026—offering hope, dignity, and security to some of Arizona's most
vulnerable populations:

Pathways of Hope - Providing whole person care and transitional housing for individuals exiting homelessness.

Copa Voyager Center - A brand-new integrated youth facility for boys and girls ages 13-17 in need of shelter and support.

La Victoria Commons - A brand new community offering affordable housing for low-income individuals—opening this year.

These projects are already beginning to transform lives and create a brighter future for our community.

At Copa, housing is more than a place to stay; it’s a launchpad for healing, progress, and independence.

This holiday season, we encourage you to give yourself the gift of prioritizing your mental well-being. Taking intentional time to care for your mind is not only an act of self-compassion, but an essential part of maintaining balance and wellness.

Whether it’s setting healthy boundaries, making space for rest, seeking support, or simply pausing to breathe, your mental health deserves your attention. By nurturing yourself, you create the capacity to show up more fully for the moments and people that matter most.

This season, remember: caring for your mental well-being is a meaningful gift you can give yourself—one that supports resilience, peace, and a healthier tomorrow.
