Mariposa Gardens' Wreaths across America will have a ceremony on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 10:00am on our back cemetery grass area behind the main building. We are also asking for community volunteers Friday the 12th at 3pm to unbox and fluff the wreaths.

Mariposa Gardens will be conducting a Candle Lighting Ceremony of their own in addition to luminaria decorating and lighting, refreshments, and more on Friday, December 5th at 6 PM at the Service of Remembrance. Family and friends are welcome.

The Mummies of Guanajuato, Mexico are a number of naturally mummified bodies interred during a cholera outbreak in 1833. The human bodies appear to have been disinterred between 1870 and 1958. During that time, a local tax was in place requiring a fee to be paid for "perpetual" burial. Some bodies for which the tax was not paid were disinterred and found in a perfectly and naturally mummified state.
