Welcome! I hope you're having a healthy day! There's so much "health" information out there these days, that people often throw their hands up and give up because so much information can be opposite. ie "everyone must be vegan!", or "carnivore improves health in all areas", or "keto is the answer"...etc. And they can find studies to prove anything. What to do?
Step back, shake your arms and shoulders, and take a deep breath! It's ok. Actually they are all right to a certain extent, unless they say that one diet is for everyone. That is a false statement.
Ask yourself a few questions like: "Does it make sense?", "How would we eat in the wild?", "How do I feel on this diet?", "Thousands of years ago, what did they eat and is the plant or animal the same as it was, as it was meant to be?"
I say, eat REAL FOOD, and you say "What does that mean?" Have we come so far that we don't even know what real food is? It is: food that is as it was meant to be, without added chemicals or "adjusted DNA" to make it supposedly easier to grow and make more quantity. Cattle, deer, buffalo, elk, whatever, as they were created - without chemicals or "immune adjustors" (which contain harmful chemicals), fed real pasture as they were meant to eat.
Another part that I don't think is really vital, but it's an interesting idea that makes sense, is to eat seasonally. In summer, eat more fruits and vegetables from your garden while storing up meat for winter. In winter, eat more meats and healthy fats, as most vegetables and fruit don't grow in winter. Although there are some winter veggies and that's fine.
The main things to remember: NO processed foods, refined sugar, flour, dairy (except maybe organic butter or ghee), no seed oils. No artificial sweeteners. NO fake foods (ie meat substitutes). That's the simple list. Eat organic as much as possible - though they have some chemicals from the ground water and the air, they are better in content than conventional, really.
Overall, helping your body regain or maintain health is simple - but it's not easy. Food addictions and our cultural norms have ingrained a dependency on certain foods and habits. Remember - just because it's culturally accepted and even encouraged, doesn't mean it's healthy or right.
Have a beautiful day! :D
