Our Story

Our mission of excellence began with the establishment of Gibbons Mortuary by M.L. “Cardinal” Gibbons in 1913. Since then, what has come to be known as Bunker Family Funerals & Cremation has been providing unique and fitting tributes to the loved ones of Arizona families.

In 1964, a new era began with the purchase of the organization by Bryan L. Bunker, B. Allen Bunker and other investors. The Bunkers brought vast experience in funeral service from their operation in Las Vegas. Randy Bunker joined his father, B. Allen Bunker, in 1971 and in 1976 they purchased the entire stock of the organization. At that point we became known as Gibbons-Bunker Mortuaries. In 1984, the Gibbons name was retired.

In 1989, after years of dedication and service, B. Allen Bunker retired and Randy Bunker purchased the entire organization. In 2016 Randy named his son Bryce the President of the organization and both continue to serve the community together today. Randy and Bryce both stand committed to providing warm, caring and meaningful service to all families who call on us—regardless of budget or traditions.

By providing quality facilities and services at convenient locations, Bunker Family Funerals & Cremation has made it as simple as possible for grieving families to create meaningful tributes for their loved ones. More than a hundred years since our founding, we remain committed to providing distinctive and fitting service.
