During the Tribute to The Beach Boys at Hale Centre Theatre, she turned the night into a showstopper moment. Even while living with Parkinson’s, Jacqueline danced like Ann-Margret, got bows from the band, cheers from the crowd (“YOU GO, GRANDMA!”), and a song dedication from “Beach Boy” Nick himself. 🎤

This is what redefining aging looks like — joy, movement, and living life with no limits. 💙

💜 Team Las Palomas walks with love and purpose 💜

This weekend, our residents and team members proudly joined the 2025 Walk Against Alzheimer’s in Phoenix — banner in hand and hearts full. Five residents, including our four-legged friend Bella, represented us on the trail, while our community in Mesa hosted its own walk around our grounds so everyone could participate.

This year, Las Palomas contributed $3,500 to support research, care, and hope for families affected by Alzheimer’s.

We walk for awareness. We walk for connection. We walk for each other.

Music, community, and connection mean so much to our residents. Las Palomas regularly attends the Youth Symphony of the Southwest concerts at the Mesa Arts Center. Even though the performances are free, we love showing support by purchasing their t-shirts. The sign-up sheet for the December holiday concert filled up quickly. These shared experiences bring joy and enrichment to everyday life here.

A full month of German culture, community, and unforgettable bites. Our residents who emigrated from Germany led the way as we sampled beers, hosted Oktoberfest dinner, enjoyed elegant tea and desserts, and browsed a local German market. So much joy in every shared taste. 🇩🇪🍰🥨

Art met purpose this weekend at Art for Alzheimer’s, our in-house exhibit filled with creative works by residents and team members. Our East Restaurant became a gallery of love, awareness and talent. A tribute to those impacted by Alzheimer’s. 💜 Thank you to everyone who continues to donate and support our Las Palomas Walk Team. We’re ready to walk with hearts full of hope.

Our October Birthday Bash was sparkling in every sense of the word! ✨
The incredible Encanterra Sparkles kicked off the celebration with high-energy dance routines that had everyone smiling and clapping along. One of our birthday stars, Diane, even got a musical nod with “Happy Birthday” — Beatles-style , and “New York, New York” for her New York roots! 🎶💃

We loved every second and can’t wait to welcome these dazzling ladies back for the holidays! 💜

Our Memory Care ladies enjoyed a beautiful fall morning at The Riparian our nearby wildlife sanctuary. The air was crisp, the sun was shining, and the turtles even lined up for Cheerios! 🐢🪶 We spotted waterfowl like the charming American coot and shared plenty of laughter along the way.

We love spending time outdoors, soaking up nature’s beauty, and making new memories together. 💛

Oktoberfest season means good food, great friends, and a taste of tradition. We visited two German restaurants,Zum Treffpunkt and Edelweiss Biergarten, sampling schnitzel, sausages, bretzels, beer, and wine. With a few native Germans in our group, the experience was even more meaningful. We cannot wait for our upcoming German beer tasting party and ladies’ tea featuring German desserts. Prost! 🍂🍻🥨
