Engaging physical programming keeps our community moving and thriving. Inspired by the 2026 Olympics, our Legacy therapists coordinated our very own winter games! Residents competed in a snowball throw competition, carpet hockey, and a unique ski slalom relay that combined physical agility with the cognitive task of dressing for the slopes. The enthusiastic flag waving and cheers created a wonderful, supportive environment where everyone felt like a gold medal winner.

Did you know Fountain Hills, AZ, is home to the highest single spray fountain in the country? ⛲ We loved taking in the sights at the biannual Fountain Hills Art Festival. Loran, our resident photo-enthusiast, found a great stack of desert landscape photos for his apartment, while Marian, a former art teacher and contemporary painter, enjoyed watching the artists at work. We can't wait to return to this art-lover's paradise in the fall!

We are kicking off the 2026 Lunar New Year with culture and cuisine! 🧧 Our residents visited the Phoenix Art Museum to explore a magnificent Asian art exhibit, featuring incredible works by female artists. We had a blast photographing the art and imagining which pieces we would take home! To top off the day, we enjoyed a fusion dinner with eel sushi, egg rolls, and plenty of noodles for good luck. 🍜

Love isn't just for Valentine's Day, it's for every day. Our Memory Care residents celebrated this sentiment by turning their favorite quotes about love into colorful cut paper collages. The best part was seeing their thrilled reactions when the pieces were finally framed. They looked so elegant, capturing the beauty of the quotes and the joy of the activity perfectly.

Our Independent Living adventurers took over the Scottsdale Indian Festival this weekend, and the energy was incredible. We’re talking Navajo jewelry shopping, savoring authentic fry bread, and soaking up the sacred history of the region.

Watching Kiyo jump right into the circle with the Havasupai Guardians of the Grand Canyon Ram Dancers! Your parents aren't just watching life go by; they are stepping into the circle and participating.

Every year, our Las Palomas residents eagerly await the return of the great horned owl family to our north courtyard. After losing Papa Owl last year, we were touched to see Mama Owl return with a new partner to raise her flock on Mary's balcony. It has become a daily joy for residents to check on the nest and snap photos.

Speaking of photos, these stunning shots were taken by resident Shaun Voth! Shaun is an avid wildlife photographer who has documented safaris in Africa. He’ll be sharing his work in a special slide show this week, inspiring us all to find the wild beauty right in our own backyard.

Snippet the therapy horse visited our Memory Care neighborhood today, and he knew exactly what to do. He moved with such gentleness, allowing residents to pet him, talk to him, and even give him a smooch on the nose.

Thank you to Angie and Beth for making this day so special. You brought more than a horse to our community; you brought pure love.
