If you need a little beauty in your day, look no further than Kiyo’s front door! 🎎✨

Kiyo is always sharing the most incredible pieces of her Japanese heritage with our neighborhood. To celebrate Hinamatsuri (Girl's Day) this spring, she has put out her breathtaking traditional Hina dolls, which are meant to bring safety and joy.

Here is the part that gives us goosebumps: these aren't just any decorations. Kiyo’s dolls are a four-generation family heirloom! Since she doesn't have granddaughters to pass them along to, she is preparing to donate these historic pieces to a cultural museum so they can be cherished forever. We are just incredibly honored we get to admire them right here in our hallways first. 🤍

Woven with history and a whole lot of heart! 🧵❤️🤍💙

Our Memory Care residents felt incredibly patriotic at the Gilbert Historical Museum’s Annual Quilt Show! Celebrating 250 years of the Declaration of Independence, the exhibit was filled with breathtaking red, white, and blue quilts. From honoring 9/11 heroes to showcasing our fifty state flowers, the craftsmanship was unbelievable. We even got to watch a live Hawaiian-inspired quilting demonstration!

The beautiful colors and intricate details sparked so many wonderful conversations in our neighborhood today. We couldn't pick a favorite if we tried!

Stepping up to the plate for a wonderful trip down memory lane! ⚾️ Our residents recently took a fantastic field trip to the new Baseball History Museum in Mesa. While the vast array of memorabilia—including a powerful World War II exhibit honoring Japanese internment camp baseball teams and a behind-the-scenes look at how baseballs are crafted—was absolutely incredible to see, the true highlight of the day was the storytelling. Neighbors bonded over their own deep, personal connections to the sport, swapping cherished memories of playing Little League, years spent in adult softball leagues, and keeping score right inside the local dugouts. It was a beautiful afternoon spent honoring America's favorite pastime together!

Our Las Palomas neighborhood officially has the absolute best culinary team around! 🧑‍🍳 We completely love celebrating our hard-working staff, especially our amazing Chef Teela. Every single month, she hosts a fantastic recipe demonstration, and her latest creation—homemade biscuits with strawberry-lime jam and orange marmalade—was a massive hit! The afternoon was filled with non-stop smiles as the incredible flavors sparked the best stories of family baking. Thank you, Chef Teela, for bringing so much vibrant energy and spectacular taste to our community!

Our neighborhood officially became world travelers for the day! 🌍 We gathered the whole crew for an incredible trip to the annual Arizona Polish Festival at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish in north Phoenix. It was an amazing educational experience as we tasted traditional foods, listened to the language, and watched brilliant performers from all over the country! We completely loved balancing the lively, boisterous music with a few restorative, peaceful moments inside the beautiful church. We always love finding new, spectacular ways to fill up our senses together! Dziękuje bardzo!

The neighborhood caffeine buzz is completely real today! ☕ Our Coffee Talks series brought the entire community together to sample unique brews from around the world and marvel at live latte art demonstrations. The best moments happened when we passed the microphone to our own residents. Tony absolutely captivated the room by sharing his personal journey with coffee, from his late night police shifts to his brilliant family running a highly successful shop up in Wisconsin. Getting to learn fascinating historical facts while discovering incredible new things about the friends sitting right next to you is what makes this community so exceptionally vibrant.

You always hope your mother finds a community where she feels truly celebrated and surrounded by genuine friends. The ladies at Las Palomas recently gathered for their magnificent seasonal floral tea party, dressing absolutely perfectly in their brightest blooming outfits. The afternoon took a profoundly beautiful turn when a gentleman named Robert politely crashed the gathering. He stood up to give a toast, his voice completely thick with emotion, thanking the women for warmly welcoming him into their circle. Looking around the room and seeing every single person wiping away happy tears is exactly why this neighborhood is so special

Our neighborhood has officially turned into the ultimate wildlife sanctuary this spring! 🦉 We are currently celebrating the gorgeous owls and hummingbirds moving into the community at Las Palomas. Everyone has been keeping a close eye on the nests to watch the mothers caring for their brand new babies. The dining room offers the perfect view of a tiny hummingbird nest right outside the window.

Our resident photo bug Shaun even managed to spot three little owlets hanging out in the trees near a resident balcony. We absolutely love how this vibrant community comes together to appreciate the beautiful nature surrounding our home!

Imagine answering a knock at your door and finding out your daughter is getting married in your living room right now🥹 That is exactly what happened to our Assisted Living resident Ed this week. His daughter Cathy traveled all the way from Chicago with a massive surprise. At seventy years old she was tying the knot for the very first time and she wanted her parents front and center. Our team scrambled into action to make her dream a reality. Within hours a priest, a harpist, gorgeous flowers, and a wedding cake miraculously appeared. Cathy even pinned her mother's vintage brooch to her bouquet before walking down the aisle❤️

The ultimate weekend takeover! Our Family Spring Fling brought four generations together for a morning of absolute nonstop action. Residents completely led the charge, showing the grandkids and great grandkids exactly how to dominate the egg hunt and conquer the arts and crafts tables. We also brought in incredibly fluffy English Angora therapy bunnies that totally stole the show! Watching our community light up with laughter and create amazing memories with their families is what we are all about.
