Hello, Neuro & Brain Family!
In April, I will be traveling to Washington D.C. with the Arizona Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) to participate in PT Day at the Capitol on April 21, 2026. Nearly 300+ physical therapists (PT) and physical therapist assistants (PTA) will be visiting with members of Congress to address advocacy issues concerning physical therapy and our patients.
Last year, I delivered your advocacy letters to the offices of Senator Mark Kelly and Congressman Greg Stanton. I was able to share examples of how our patients are negatively impacted by insurance authorization delays, visit limitations and denials of service. This year I am working on a new project – with YOU.
Your voice, your face, your statement, sharing what physical therapy means to you.
I am looking for volunteers for a brief video-recorded interview to provide a 30 – 60 second
answer to the following questions.
1. How has physical therapy helped you?
2. If you have experienced delays to care, secondary to insurance denials or delays, how has this
affected you?
3. What do you want Congress to know when making decisions that impact your health?
If you are interested in participating in this video project, please reply in the comments below and I will reach out with you to schedule a good time!
Respectfully,
Valerie Beuschlein, PTA
