Bad advice can come from the best, well meaning teachers and coaches.
I used to be influenced by this advice because I was very positive mind oriented. I know that sounds good, but when you are unbalanced towards the positive mind, you just say yes and trust without enough discernment.
You can also be more negative mind oriented and get mad or offered by the advice you’re given. You then start to judge your teacher, mentor, or coach. Also not great.
The magic is in the middle. The balance of the positive and negative minds and stepping into that neutral or meditative mind.
From this space, you receive without judgement and immediately know what’s for you and what isn’t.
The best way to access this mind is through a consistent meditative practice. Not a once a year retreat. Not a once a month class. Those are amazing but the real magic comes from what you do daily, weekly, consistently.
Trust me on this. I’ve gone to plenty of retreats and special classes. The best teachers of these always emphasized what to do when you left the retreat or class- how to bring that energy into your daily life.
If you are waiting for the next sound bath, retreat or full moon event to change your life, you may just be addicted to phenomena rather than wanting true and lasting change.
I am saying this with no judgement as I realized this is where I was at; expecting some magical force outsides myself to change my life.
Your life changes from doing your right work in co-creation with higher forces. A mediation practice helps you know what that right work is.
So my questions are Do you know your right work? And Are you tuning in daily to find out?
