Our residents had such a wonderful time creating their own Valentine’s tote bags, complete with sweet iron-on patches, painting, and plenty of laughter. Moments like these, sharing creativity, conversation, and joy together are what make our community so special.

Avista Senior Living Downtown Mesa Cares Day is something we do once a month together, in an effort to turn our thoughts away from ourselves and towards others. We make sandwiches, chips, fruit and water for a lunch bag, and get bags of cereal and icy cold milk ready to serve. We set out together to find hungry folks here in our neighborhood, chat with them, encourage them and feed them. We go home feeling filled to the top with love. This month in September, our friends from United Healthcare, Jarod and Viviana, came to lend a hand.
