End of an Era: it is with deep regret that I announce to all that TLC Intensive Outpatient Treatment program will be ceasing operations effective October 17th, 2025. Although our treatment program will no longer be available, our supportive housing program; (Dana, Southern, Robson, Pride House) will still be accepting people who want to have a safe supportive housing where you can work and pay weekly service fees.

I am truly grateful for all the partnerships we have built with all the organizations around the valley and beyond.

I have personally worked for the TX Center since 2016 and this is truly difficult, I will continue to hopefully work in the recovery field as it continues to be my passion. Our staff wants to thank all our clients throughout the years who have been with us through bad times and good times, and supporting us through it all.

God bless!

If anyone has any questions please feel free to reach out to me via direct message.

Please help me in giving a BIG shoutout to our September Employee Spotlight the one and only Mathew Bassett.

Mathew has been with our treatment program since its inception and he wears many hats: from billing, to ensuring we are in compliance with state and insurance policies, to working with outside vendors for inspections to assisting our employees with whatever they may need. Mathew you are a great asset to our team and your hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed. He’s a man of few words but I was able to get out of him his favorite quote which is “Be kind to yourself”. He’s also requested to not provide a photo but instead would like to showcase our dear beloved kitten Olivia.

Congratulations Matt.

For August Employee Spotlight we have Annette Kemnitz (aka Purple Annette) before I post her bio I would just like to say how great it has been to watch her grow and blossom into a strong woman in recovery. Thank you for being a part if my recovery.

Hello, my name is Annette. I have been with TLC IOP for a little over 5 years. I actually started working here the week COVID first hit us all and shut down the world for a brief moment in 2020. I was able to go to one of their transitional living houses 8 years ago in April, while in a terrible relapse, and I got my life back due to the program and the willingness to do the work. I’ve since obtained a sponsor, worked my steps, worked two ‘get well’ jobs, and then was blessed to find this job. I am a case manager, peer support specialist, and group facilitator here and am so grateful to be able to share my experience, strength, and hope with our clients. It is difficult to remember that everyone has their own journey, and sometimes that includes struggles and self-will; however, it has and continues to be a learning and growth opportunity for me as well. (I have my own struggles and battle self-will at times lol). Some of my hobbies are: swimming/decompressing, playing Smash Bros with my sons and grandsons, and photography. One of my favorite quotes is “We all have a past, but we don’t have to live there anymore”- I am so grateful for the ‘present’ recovery has given me.

TLC's program is about recovery.

That's why you won't see pictures on these pages of smiling, healthy-looking clients who have all their teeth - dancing on the beach hand in hand as if they're so delighted with their recovery they can hardly restrain themselves. We don't offer luxury accommodations, world-class chefs, or four-star accommodations. While there's nothing wrong with these amenities, that's not what recovery's about. Most programs offering luxury amenities are operated by large for-profit corporations whose first question is about your insurance coverage. And when it runs out you're out the door until you get a new policy or win the lottery.TLC was started and is managed by addicts who know what you're going through because they've been there. They know that the addict's problem isn't lack of silk sheets, lovely spas, five-star housing, horse whispering or gourmet chefs. At TLC we deal with gut-level recovery. Our treatment clinic is staffed with licensed behavioral health professionals who get to know their clients. Many of our staff members are themselves in recovery.
