Nine people walked into Casa Otro carrying stress in their bodies.

Racing thoughts. Tight shoulders. Shallow breathing. Nervous systems stuck in “go mode.”

Ninety minutes later, every single participant left more regulated than when they arrived.

Mental scatteredness dropped.

Starting Saturday, I am teaching a 3-week pranayama series called Art of Breathing at the beautiful Casa Otro gallery in historic Mesilla.

Together, we will explore breath and movement practices from the Rishiculture Gitananda Yoga tradition that support the nervous system and help you feel calmer, clearer, and more connected.

Each session includes:
• movement to prepare the body for breath
• traditional pranayama practices
• guided relaxation + integration
• space to slow down and reconnect in community

This is not a fitness class and don't expect an activating breathwork experience. These are traditional practices shared with care, in a small intimate group.

Open to beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Joyous life is found in the quiet, simple moments. I'm "home" on the Gulf Coast, a different person and with new eyes that see the beauty in each moment I choose to be fully present.

Pass Christian is utter charm. Not so mossy oaks frame the jasmine as nature's intoxicating perfume. Moisture in the air clings like a soft warm hug, and the smell of salt water and "porch chats" is a balm I did not know I needed.

I'm SO delighted to be leading a series of accessible yoga experience in person.

Teaching/sharing the practices have transformed how I see the world and navigate life day-to-day is a source of *energy and great joy.*

We start with Water element (Jala) using postures (asana) and Pranayama (conscious, embodiment of energy that many people call "breathwork") to create ease and allow space for harmony and creativity.

Each class, we explore and experience the five elements to contextualize our day-to-day experiences.

Tomorrow, I’m teaching a 2-hour pranayama workshop focused on mid-chest breathing (Madhyam Pranayama) from the Gitananda Yoga tradition.

Teaching is one of the great gifts of my life.

At my last workshop, the reminder of that gift was palpable in me, and in the room.
I aim to be the most effective and suitable conduit for the teachings of yoga - and in this case, from the Rishiculture Gitananda Ashtanga yoga tradition, and share from the heart.

The workshop was received with such warmth and presence that attendees asked me to teach again.

So here I am.

This time (Sat 12/06), we focus on emotional steadiness that moves through conscious breathing, thoughtful movement, through the part of you that connects to your inner steady state.
