The Message

This was Mary’s Song, her response, upon the visitation of the angel as related in the Gospel of Luke. In a simple response Mary sends a message of hope to all women who open their hearts to God’s call. With God, there is life and the promise of rising above circumstances that overwhelm us.

I am truly thankful that I can step into His presence by being grateful for Him. Not for every blessing He has given me, but for the love He has poured out on me. It would be easy for me to look around at all of the lack in my life, and I am thankful that He placed me in a community that understands and encourages me to position my heart towards Him. At the end of the day, He is all that matters. My flesh wants to feel sorry for myself, or rejection, or wallow in the “what could have beens” and cause me to be stuck and unproductive in the kingdom of God. But one moment in His presence is my testimony to you today, one moment is all it takes to wash the flesh away.
