If you’ve had this thought, you’re not alone.

Children develop at different paces. Some talk early and often. Others need more time — or a little more support — to turn understanding into expressive communication.

Receptive language (what they understand) and expressive language (what they say) are different skills. A child may follow directions beautifully but still struggle to form words, combine phrases, or communicate clearly in social settings.

And that doesn’t mean something is wrong. It means development may need guidance.

At TLC, we offer a variety of programs designed to meet children exactly where they are — including:

• Individual Speech Therapy
• Occupational Therapy
• Physical Therapy
• Feeding Therapy
• Social Skills Groups

✨ We currently also have openings in our social skills groups:
• 3–5 year olds (Wednesdays 4:30–5:30pm or Thursdays 4–5pm)
• 5–7 year olds (Tuesdays 4:15–5:15pm)
📍 Metairie Rd. location

If you’ve been wondering about your child’s speech, confidence, or social development, early support makes a difference.

You don’t have to navigate those questions alone.

Bubbles aren’t just fun—they’re powerful tools in speech-language therapy 🫧

When we use bubbles, we’re building so much more than smiles. Reaching and popping strengthens fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Blowing bubbles supports oral motor control and breath support for speech sounds. Watching bubbles float encourages joint attention, turn-taking, and eye contact. And those excited “pop!” moments? They spark language—requesting, labeling, commenting, and expanding vocabulary in a natural, playful way.

In speech therapy, play has a purpose. Even bubbles are working hard behind the scenes to build communication skills, attention, and social interaction. 🫧

So many parents quietly wonder. So many parents worry. And so many children develop at their own pace.

Development isn’t a race — and it doesn’t look the same for every child.

Some children need a little more time.
Some need a little more support.
And some just need the right guidance to help everything click.

Asking questions doesn’t mean something is wrong. It means you care.

If you’ve been wondering about your child’s speech, motor skills, regulation, or social development, we’re here to help you sort through it — with clarity, compassion, and expert guidance.

You don’t have to navigate it alone. 💛

Feeding challenges can feel overwhelming, confusing, and emotional for families — and you’re not alone in that. Feeding therapy isn’t about pressure or forcing bites. It’s about building safety, trust, and positive experiences around food, one step at a time.

Our feeding therapist, Alaniss, supports children by meeting them where they are and guiding progress at a pace that feels safe and achievable. Families are supported throughout the process with education, realistic expectations, and strategies that can be carried over at home.

If feeding has been a source of stress in your home, support is available.
✨ Feeding therapy sessions with Alaniss are currently available. Reach out to learn more.

Our Social Skills Groups provide a structured, therapist-led environment where children can practice communication, turn-taking, cooperation, and peer interaction alongside peers their age. Through play, games, and guided interaction, children build confidence and skills that support everyday social experiences.

Groups are available for 3–5 year olds and 5–7 year olds. Parents are kept informed and supported with guidance to help skills continue at home.
