Oh what fun! Residents gathered in our Bistro this afternoon for a Gingerbread Cookie Demo with Chef David. The creativity level reached the highest bough as we donned our men in all the colors and flavors of the season. As an added special treat, cocoa was served up hot with tall swirls of whipped cream, caramel sauce and a little peppermint dust putting us all in the holiday spirit. Our creations looked almost too good to eat… almost!

Some tree trimming & a Holiday sing-a-long with friends, Dove & Suzie (AKA Sing Like A Bird), helped to make our spirits bright last week. Thanks to all who sang out loud & proud and a special shout out to our overnight Concierge, Mara, for her help in decking the halls.

We stopped by Methuen’s 32nd Annual Festival of Trees this morning and what a treat it was! From candy to woodland creatures, flamingos, fairies and Santa blasting into space, the creativity and exquisite detail was truly awe inspiring. With literally something for everyone, I think it’s safe to say that this outing got us all in the mood for some holiday magic.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, the Festival of Lights and Yankee Swap switchin’… This December, we’ve lined up all of our favorite things.

We’ll kick off the most wonderful time of the year with a trip to Methuen’s Festival of Trees on the 1st, Sing Like A Bird will lead us in a Holiday Sing-a-long on the 3rd, not one but two Holiday concerts (on the 6th & 14th) will fill our souls with song & we’ll celebrate Hanukkah with Chef David as he makes Potato Latkes, then we’ll open our homes & hearts with a community-wide Holiday Stroll on the 16th.

Join us for a special Ragtime Holiday Happy Hour on the 18th &, on the 22nd, a Holly Jolly Yankee Swap leads us into the first of 2 trips to Mann Orchards to marvel at Merrimack Valley’s Celebration of Lights. Lastly, we’ll be offering 2 seatings for Christmas Dinner so be sure to invite a guest.

With something for everyone, this month’s festivities are sure to keep us jingling, jangling and Ho-Ho-Ho-ing all the way to 2026.

Earlier this month, Chef David wowed our residents with an intimate dinner for twelve (plus a few special guests). Our Autumn Chef’s Dinner began with Lobster Bisque, featured Lamb Lollipops, Seared Scallops, Beef Wellington & ended with Sopapilla Cheesecake; each course elegantly paired with Chef’s hand-picked wine selections. It’s special moments like these that make life sparkle. Compliments to the Chef on a 5-star menu & top-notch ex*****on.
