Intervention:
More Than Just A Meeting
Interventions bring families and friends together to motivate positive change in someone with an addiction or mental health problem. According to a study, the rate of individuals entering treatment after a professional intervention is 95%. Many individuals in addiction and abuse need additional persuasion to admit they have a problem that requires treatment.

A trained and qualified interventionist can make all the difference. Interventions do not have to be aggressive, invasive or like an ambush. They can be an expression of love and concern and an opportunity to give your loved one a clear chance to make changes before things get really bad. The evidence-based invitational model of ARISE also offers Continuum Care for the Individual and the whole family and will guide you through the complete process from the first meeting until aftercare. The ARISE Intervention is an invitational, non-confrontational and transparent approach to intervention, designed to respond to the love, fear, worry and guilt of those living with an addicted loved one, with the minimum time, cost and effort on the part of an outside professional. It consists of three gradually escalating levels as needed to achieve treatment engagement. We work towards long-term recovery and healing of the individual and the family. ARISE Continuum Care supports the individual and his family in preventing relapse and establishing the life skills and changes necessary for long-term recovery and inter-generational family healing. The Intervention meetings are held with the family and a network of supportive friends and any influential involved persons such as teachers, church representatives, sport coaches etc. They are held in the comfort of your home and in phone conferences as the situation requires to achieve the best possible outcome. A THOUGHT FOR YOU FOR THE WEEKEND
LOOKING BACK
A lot of people say “Don’t ever look back!”
Nooooo! Please look back ….
• look back to see how far you have come, how far you made it on your journey of getting a better life.
• Look back to see the mistakes you made (we all do) along the way and avoid them in future.
• Look back and check who were the people that supported you in hard times and send them gratitude from your heart.
• Look back and see the mountains you’ve climbed and take pride in it.
• Look back, count your blessings and the obstacles you kicked out of the way.
• Look back and compare the misery you had then, with the life you have now. You are maybe not where you want to be, but you are not where you once were.
• Look back and see if someone follows you on your path and reach out to him with a helping hand.
• Look back and remember what gave you pain and avoid this in future. Letting pain be your guide helps to do the same mistakes over and over again.
• Look back to see, that the seeds you placed started blooming. Look proudly at the work you put into it to make this process happen.
• Look back and enjoy great memories you made in every phase of your life.
• Look back with knowledge and determination that walking backwards would be wrong.
• Look back and be proud of trusting the process at a place where you couldn’t imagine the results.
Now turn again, look forward, take a deep breath and continue your journey. Have faith in yourself, faith into the process, hope to reach all you want, trust in God, a heart full of gratitude, a mind full of motivation, a soul full of inner peace and keep going ONWARD! One step at a time. Baby steps if needed. You beat everyone that stays in their comfort zone.

A THOUGHT FOR YOU FOR TODAY
Improve your life taking small steps!
Our world is moving fast forward and many people are afraid to try something new, because any task seems overwhelming. Afraid to fail, no action is taken.
Start any new journey slowly and carefully, start it will willpower, passion and courage, but break up the path in small steps. Once you take the first step slowly, and without expecting perfect results and a finish right away, you will see that keep walking upward and onward isn't magic, it is a well planned easy way to overcome hurdles and tripping points.
Celebrate each step that you mastered. Encourage yourself through small victories.
A Chinese proverb says: "Its is better to take many small steps in the right direction than to make a great leap forward only to stumble backward."
You don't need to know everything that is involved at the beginning. Don't anticipate the outcome. Don't have high expectations. Learn from each step and keep moving.
The first step however is always the same:
You decide that you don't want to stay any longer where you are.

It’s a sad development

Even more of a crisis than the chilling number of people suffering from anxiety — 40 million in the U.S. — is the number of people who are addicted to the drugs that treat it, along with the rising number of people dying from overdoses.

Spread this concept everywhere!

Like many employers, Belden couldn't find enough workers for its Indiana factory. So it started a first-of-its-kind program which pays for drug treatment to job applicants failing drug tests.

Don’t pick a facility yourself just by name, location or website. Ask me as an expert where to send your loved one to avoid fraudulent facilities! I visit all places I deal with and know personal the people in charge. I will never ever refer to a place that I wouldn’t send my own children to. Call if you don’t know how to proceed!
