This is an excerpt from an Innocence Project advertisement - how ridiculous is a law that does not allow a person to prove their innocence using the most advanced technology available. This man, and his family, could have proven long ago using a private DNA testing company, if the State would not pay for it, and then bring the to court to clear his name.

"he was out of prison and ineligible for DNA testing under New Jersey statute, which restricted post-conviction testing to those who are incarcerated"

Transition Conference:
"Discover the Road Ahead"
Saturday, 4/16/16 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
Pemberton High School, Pemberton, NJ

Transition planning is a critical component of a youth/young adults educational program. This event will feature presentations and workshops to help you better understand what families can do to prepare for life after high school. This is a full day event with speakers, information tables and networking opportunities.

The conference will begin at 8:30 am for registration and breakfast. Speakers will begin at 9:00 am. The day will conclude at 3:00 pm. Lunch will be provided.

Sounds like a great even for families in the Pemberton HS area - many children (young adults) need their Birth Documents revised/updated with the correct Father's Name - whether for their FAFSA documents or just for future knowledge. About the Visa Bulletin
DOS publishes current immigrant visa availability information in a monthly Visa Bulletin. The Visa Bulletin indicates when statutorily limited visas are available to prospective immigrants based on their individual priority date.
• The priority date is generally the date when the applicant’s relative or employer properly filed the immigrant visa petition on the applicant’s behalf with USCIS. If a labor certification is required to be filed with the applicant’s immigrant visa petition, then the priority date is when the labor certification application was accepted for processing by Department of Labor.
• Availability of an immigrant visa means eligible applicants are able to take one of the final steps in the process of becoming U.S. permanent residents.
