We went to the Capitol today to speak with our representatives! We were asking them to support several exciting pieces of legislation that will benefit our patients.

One of the big ones is called Dental Loss Ratio and it would make it so that at least $0.85 of every $1 you spend on your insurance premiums, is returned to you as reimbursement for treatment. This would mirror existing legislation in Missouri for medical insurance. And it would make your dental insurance coverage much more effective!

No numb, no drill, ceramic veneers!!!

This was a really challenging case that pushed the limits of what’s possible with modern dentistry. But it was so rewarding! And we did it all in-house!

I couldn’t be more thrilled with the end result. I love how natural the veneers look and I don’t think they look bulky (a common challenge with no-drill cases).

But most important was that our patient cried happy tears! Changing lives makes my nerdy dentist heart so happy.

Missouri lawmakers are considering a Dental Loss Ratio bill. This bill would mirror what already exists for medical insurance in Missouri and make it so that at least 85% of your premium dollars go towards paying for treatment. This reduces insurance company's incentive to delay and deny claims, and makes sure that you get what you pay for.

I used to hate dentures. They took forever, never fit well, and the workflows were literally stuck in the stone age.

In 2022, we made 4 dentures.
In 2023, we made 19 dentures.
In 2024, we made 13 dentures.

In December 2024 I took a mini-residency course on 3D Printing at The MOD Institute. I finally found a denture workflow that I enjoyed! A workflow that gets good results! And a workflow that makes dentures economical for our patients.

In 2025, we made 76 dentures.

That's dozens more patients served with high quality, excellent fitting prosthetics. That's increased enjoyment and scope of work for our assistants. And that's the power of digital workflows.

I partnered with the Missouri Dental Association and Dr. Josh Prather to give a presentation on the digital denture technology we have been using in our office! We had a room full of dentists from around the state in attendance and had some great conversations about the future of dentistry!
