Conemaugh Meyersdale serves a rural area in southwestern Pennsylvania’s historic Somerset County. Specializing in family and primary care, it is a state-designated Critical Care Access Hospital and has been deemed a necessary health care provider by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Future physicians—this opportunity is for you 👀

Applications are now open for Conemaugh Health System’s Mentoring in Medicine – Class of 2026. This 10-week summer program includes physician shadowing, exposure to a variety of specialties, and guidance on medical school applications, interviews, and personal statements.

Eligible applicants include local pre-med students (rising juniors or seniors) or first-year medical students who meet academic requirements. Space is limited to 10 students. Apply by February 14, 2026.

Thinking about a career in medicine? 🩺

Conemaugh Health System is now accepting applications for the Class of 2026 Mentoring in Medicine program. This 10-week, paid summer internship offers hands-on experience as students shadow physicians, explore multiple specialties, and learn what it truly takes to become a doctor.

The program is open to rising college juniors or seniors majoring in pre-med, or first-year medical students who live in Cambria, Somerset, or Bedford counties. Only 10 students are selected each year so don't hesitate to get your application. Applications are due February 14, 2026.
