Think you might have the flu? Here’s what to do to take care of yourself and protect others:

- Stay home and rest. Avoid work, school or public places. Rest helps your body fight the infection and prevents it from spreading to others.

- Monitor your symptoms. Keep track of severity, duration and any changes in symptoms like fever, chills, cough, sore throat, body aches, fatigue, headache, runny or stuffy nose.

- Hydrate and manage symptoms. Drink plenty of water or herbal tea. Over-the-counter medications can help with symptoms. Avoid alcohol and smoking.

- Seek medical care if needed. Call your healthcare provider if you experience trouble breathing, chest pain, severe weakness, confusion, persistent high fever or worsening symptoms, especially if you are pregnant, older or have chronic conditions. Early treatment can help reduce complications.

- Protect your community. Cover coughs and sneezes, wash your hands frequently and stay home until you’ve been fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication.

❤️ Today is National Wear Red Day! ❤️

National Wear Red Day is part of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement, dedicated to raising awareness about heart disease in women, which is the leading cause of death for women in the U.S. Each year, women are encouraged to wear red to honor those affected, support survivors, and spread awareness about prevention and early detection.

Heart disease doesn’t always show obvious symptoms, which makes education, screening, and healthy lifestyle choices so important. By wearing red today, you’re helping shine a spotlight on the importance of heart-healthy living, from eating well and staying active to knowing your numbers and scheduling regular check-ups.

Join us in showing your support 💓 Wear red, tag us in your photos, and help raise awareness for women’s heart health. Together, we can save lives!
