We live in a culture that rewards effort, control, and constant striving. But the body does not heal, regenerate, or conceive from pressure.
It responds to safety.
Receiving is not weakness. It is the biological state that allows blood flow to improve, hormones to stabilize, digestion to strengthen, immune function to regulate, and reproductive tissues to receive nourishment again.
The nervous system is the gatekeeper. When it no longer perceives threat, the body reallocates energy away from survival and back into repair, restoration, and growth.
Receiving is not only about receiving a baby.
It is about receiving support.
Receiving nourishment.
Receiving rest.
Receiving care.
Receiving moments of ease.
If your system feels tired from always doing, the next step is not more effort. It is learning how to return to receptivity in a way your body recognizes as safe.
If you would like support with that process, my Be CALMM Protocol is a gentle guide for shifting your nervous system out of overdrive and back into a receptive, restorative state.
