PATIENT SPOTLIGHT ‼️

When she came in, she was still dealing with pain, fear of movement, and uncertainty about what her body could handle.

That’s when we introduced her to the McKenzie Method.

Instead of chasing pain with passive treatments, we focused on directional preference and repeated movements to help centralize symptoms and restore spinal mechanics.

For the first time since her injury, she felt something shift.

Pain began to move out of her legs and back toward the spine — a sign the nervous system was calming and the disc was responding.

Movement started to feel safe again.

From there we progressed the process:
rebuilding spinal control, restoring load tolerance, and helping her trust her body again.

Today she’s moving better, stronger, and with far more confidence.

Low back pain rarely starts where it hurts.

Most people try to stretch it, crack it, or rest it…
But the real issue is usually how the surrounding tissues move and load the spine.

Today’s session focused on:
• Restoring tissue mobility
• Reducing protective muscle guarding
• Improving blood flow to restricted areas

Cupping is one tool I use to decompress tissue and restore movement, allowing the body to tolerate load again.

But remember — treatment is just Step 1.

The real change happens when we rebuild strength and control after the pain calms down.

Pain relief → Movement → Strength → Resilience.

That’s how you actually fix the problem.
