Most people have no idea what nervous system retraining is because we are flooded with so many untrained professionals offering relaxation or “the key” to getting into control … the reality is that the ability to reappraise or reinterpret a situation starts with getting our brain to stay calm in the face of stress so that we can think critically. That kind of training USES TOLERABLE STRESS to take you to new levels. This is resilience training and is the foundation of all high-level, evidence-based therapy. And, it only takes a few sessions.

In this video I quickly mention “Interoceptive Exposures” - I guide almost all if my clients through these … if you have anxiety or panic even slightly or mildly, it does wonders. More to come on this & how I treat flying/driving phobias quickly … stay tuned.

Resiliency is key & my favorite talks to give are on this topic! Good social support, time in nature, & cognitive flexibility make it happen … but periods of feeling down are totally normal too.

It was great speaking to nurses & medical professionals live last week to make sure they had tools to move forward. 🧠✨
