System Architecture: Meet the Golgi Tendon Organ (GTO).
Most people think flexibility is just about "long muscles." But the real magic happens at the junction where the muscle meets the tendon.
Meet the Golgi Tendon Organ (GTO). Think of it as your body’s internal "Circuit Breaker."
How the hardware works: The GTO is a sensory receptor that constantly monitors tension. When you engage a muscle under load (like we do in Resistance Stretching), the GTO sends a signal to the spinal cord: "Hey, there’s a lot of tension here. To stay safe, we need to inhibit (relax) the muscle."
This is called Autogenic Inhibition. The MastroStretch Difference: In traditional static stretching, you’re trying to bypass the security system without the passcode. It’s slow, and often the "alarm" (the stretch reflex) goes off anyway.
By using the Corrective Stretch Technique (CST), we are intentionally "tripping" the GTO circuit. We engage the muscle to create tension, which triggers the GTO to tell the muscle to relax.
Results:
✅ Immediate "length" that actually sticks.
✅ A nervous system that feels safe, not threatened.
✅ Precise, scientific movement that respects your biology.
Don't just pull on your "wires." Understand your system architecture.
For the Pros: If you want to master the neurology behind the movement, the CST Certification is for you. We don't just teach stretches; we teach you how to hack the biological hardware.
