Experience of the Ultimate Reality is the real purpose of and all spiritual and religious traditions — not merely the performance of rituals nor the demonstration of scholars. If one has not experienced the unity of God and soul directly, even if he has studied numerous scriptures and recites countless incantations by memory, he is still limited to mental concepts and practices. In this situation, the speech is like a map, which shows direction, but is not the destination itself.

If the seeker has not experienced this truth directly, then the knowledge remains limited. It is the same as a person who imagines the taste of water only by looking at the maps of rivers, but never touches water himself, never drinks. The Reality exists beyond the intellectual, logical, scientific mind. Overemphasis on scientific concepts only becomes a means to increase debate and ego inflation.

There is a lot of talk these days about “manifesting.” But mostly it is selfish and driven by greed, vanity or “with egoistic desires.” Manifesting a life of your “dreams” whether that be a new house, car, money, vacations, luxury experiences, personal comforts, etc. There is no harm in that, of course (provided that they do not instill attachment). It is called Samkaya Karma in yogic terminology. But it does not bestow spiritual liberation - this must be clear.

If enlightenment is your goal then you must learn the art of Niskamya Karma. That is action performed “without egoistic desire.”

We encourage you to spend intimate moments with a real “selfless manifester” .shaikh.ellora who found .sudarshan.vision at the world famous Ellora Caves (site of the largest monolithic sculpture on earth!) and find out what it truly means to manifest in “reality” while marching on the spiritual path.

History is at best a brief, patchy and recent documentation. Going backward into the past trying to look for concrete evidence and proof, you will find only broken pots and petrified minerals. Forget about who did what 100,000 or even millions of years ago, because “history is shrouded in the mists of time.” We know this for sure: to respect the Guru. You do your duty by respecting your Guru. If you are too immature to do that or too prideful to acquire a Guru, then how could anyone attempt to force you? You simply suffer repeatedly on account of your own actions.

Guru Purnima is the full moon day in which Shiva turned from his closed-eyes meditation seat facing north (Uttarayan) to his open-eyes instruction seat facing south (Dakshinayan) to gracefully impart teachings, thus becoming the Adi Guru of his first 7 disciples called Saptarishis.

Shiva is the original Jnana Swaroopa, all Vedic scriptures are his breath, he represents all Vedanta, and he is its enforcer. Veda Vyasa is the author/scribe and collector/compiler of the scriptures. It’s the Veda Vyasa who is the author of Shiva Mahapuran, Bhagavat Mahapuran, all of the 18 Puranas, and also the Itihasa of Mahabharata.

All the major Gods and minor gods in Sanatan Dharma also happen to be forms of Guru. Whomever you see as a “remover (Illuminer) of the cave’s (Heart’s) darkness (Ignorance),” he/she is indeed a Guru when you look at him/her as Guru. Similarly we see Hanuman’s Guru is Rama. Krishna is Guru to Arjuna. Sankaracharya is also Guru to most modern Gurus, Vedantins and Yogis. Narada, Astavakra, Valmiki, Viswamitra, Agastya; even parents, children, relatives, friends, etc; are all our Gurus if we can be humble enough to learn from them and their teachings.

Secondly, the Guru is not a person; it is a divine energy which can be manifest and unmanifest in its existence. Guru possesses immortalizing wisdom. It is a device and tool to enlighten oneself, see and experience the reality, and overcome misery. Guru is your own Highest Self and the same Divine Self in all. “Remember my teachings. Apply them and fight the battle. For your victory is ensured.” Glory to that Adi Guru, Sat Guru, Param Guru!
