We closed our office during normal business hours this week.

Not because of an emergency.
Not because of a problem.

In 2008, Starbucks famously shut down every store for 2 hours so every barista could relearn how to make the perfect cup of coffee. It cost them millions… and it was worth every penny.

We took a page from that playbook.
Our team spent the day at our optical lab—meeting the people who make our lenses, learning the process start to finish, and asking questions that will help us serve our patients better than ever.

They lost millions in sales—on purpose.

Why?
To retrain every barista on how to make the perfect cup of coffee.
Because great brands know:

This week, we took a page from their playbook.
We closed our office during normal business hours and brought our team to the optical lab.

We:
👓 Learned the entire process of lens making
🤝 Met the skilled hands behind every pair of glasses
💡 Connected the dots between the exam room and the lab floor

An educational offsite isn’t time away from work—
It’s an investment in knowledge, confidence, and a better patient experience.
