Creative Extended Care Prescribed pediatric extended care - offering special services to children with special needs. Nursi

Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) centers allow Medicaid eligible children from birth through age 20 with medically-complex conditions to receive continual medical care in a non-residential setting. When approved, children can attend a PPEC up to a maximum of 12 hours per day while receiving nursing services, personal care, developmental therapies (PT/OT/ST/CRT), and caregiver training.

Meet Nidia Díaz, our Director of Nursing at Creative. As a Registered Nurse and APRN, Nidia brings over 12 years of experience working with children, along with a deep passion for pediatric care. Fluent in both Spanish and English, she is able to connect with and support families from diverse backgrounds. What she loves most about her role is being able to help children thrive and watching them grow every step of the way. If she had to describe her approach in one word, it would be love, the foundation of the compassionate, attentive care she provides each day. Outside of work, Nidia enjoys studying and spending quality time with her family 💙

What is PPEC?

PPEC is a non-residential center that provides nursing care for children from birth through age 21 who require continuous medical supervision.

Unlike a standard daycare, our staff consists of Registered Nurses, LPNs, and certified nursing assistants.

We manage everything from:

• G-tube feedings and nutritional management.
• Seizure monitoring and medication administration.
• Tracheostomy and ventilator care.
• Chronic Asthma and other respiratory conditions

Essentially, if your child needs a nurse by their side, they can find that care here with us ❤️
