To do that, we need strong relationships with the doctors, dentists, and specialists who serve our members. That’s where you come in.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated, persuasive, and organized Provider Relations Coordinator. In this role, you will be the bridge between Sun Health and Dental and the medical community. Your mission is twofold: grow our network by signing up new providers and ensure our existing providers are working smoothly with our members.
No prior experience in healthcare or provider relations is required. We are looking for someone with a "can-do" attitude, great people skills, and a desire to learn the healthcare industry from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Network Growth: Identify medical and dental providers in specific areas and reach out to them to explain the benefits of joining the Sun Health and Dental network.
Contracting: Guide new providers through the simple process of joining our network and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
Problem Resolution: Act as a "troubleshooter" when issues arise. If a member has a problem with a provider (or vice-versa), you will step in to find a professional and friendly solution.
Relationship Management: Maintain positive, long-term relationships with office managers and doctors to ensure they remain active and happy in our network.
Data Entry: Keep our provider database updated with current contact information, specialties, and locations.
What We’re Looking For
Bilingual Skills: Must be fluent in English and Spanish. You will be negotiating and solving problems with diverse medical offices across Florida.
People Skills: You are comfortable picking up the phone, introducing yourself to new people, and "selling" the value of our network.
Conflict Resolution: You are patient and professional when handling disagreements or misunderstandings.
Computer Basics: Strong basic computer skills (Email, Word, Excel, and web research).
Self-Starter: You don’t need someone looking over your shoulder to stay productive and organized.
