Catholic Hospice also cares for the whole person with special programs like Pet Peace of Mind and spiritual support for those of all faith traditions.

At Camp Erin, grieving children learn that they are not alone, that their feelings are normal. They have a safe environment to express themselves with other children going through a similar experience. Grief professionals and trained volunteers lead age appropriate groups through clinical grief activities such as remembrance ceremonies, sharing circles, art therapy, music, creative writing, drama and other physical activities.

We’re so excited to welcome families back to Camp Erin South Florida—a special one‑day bereavement camp created just for youth (ages 6+) and their families who are grieving the death of someone significant. 💛

Join us on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 10 AM to 7 PM for a day of healing, connection, and community!

Guided by caring volunteers and bereavement professionals, families will have the chance to explore their grief, learn coping tools, and find comfort alongside others who understand. 🌿

Grief can be especially overwhelming for children, and today we shine a light on their unique journey through loss.

At Camp Erin South Florida, we invite you to be Champions of Hope with us, offering a safe space, a listening ear, a supportive heart, and our presence to bring hope and strength to grieving children.

Last weekend, our team hosted a one-day Camp Erin on Saturday, October 25, in Miami-Dade. Some of the activities that were facilitated for the campers included Pet Therapy, Music Therapy, expressive arts decorating memory boxes, and other fun bonding activities.

Thank you to our volunteers and staff volunteers who helped make this one-day bereavement camp a success!

We would also like to give a special thanks to our local Miami New York Life office for putting together our camper bags, and Cigna for sponsoring additional camper bags and materials for our campers! Moreover, thank you to Humane Society of Broward County for continuing their support in providing Pet Therapy for our camp!

This wraps up our 2025 Camp Erin season! We truly appreciate all the help in supporting grieving youth and families in our community!
