A GIRL MADE AN ORDER "AS A JOKE" AND THE RESTAURANT SENT HER A HEARTFELT MESSAGE
"Dear Evelyn,
Last night, you placed a very large order, but you never came to pick it up. You blocked our phone numbers when we tried to contact you.
That order required a lot of work in the kitchen and caused us a financial loss, as the payment never came through.
Our motto has always been, and will continue to be: 'SUCCESS IS HERE,'
and for that reason, all we can do is wish you success, despite your poor choice.
Success so that you never repeat this behavior with other businesses or restaurants,
because wrongful actions eventually fall back on those who commit them.
Yes, what you did cost us something,
but it also gave us a special evening, because we met Mr. Fernando—
a man whose actions define the true meaning of success.
You see, while we were trying to figure out what to do with the unclaimed food before closing,
Mr. Fernando knocked on our door asking if there was anything he could do to help, that night or the next morning.
Like many people, he's in a tough spot and simply trying to bring food home,
as he is currently raising two grandchildren.
Mr. Fernando already has a job, but he just started and hasn’t received his first paycheck yet.
On that day, he had brought nothing home to eat and was looking for something to feed his grandkids.
Without hesitation, we offered him your order.
He thanked us and even offered to leave his phone at the restaurant as a guarantee while he went to find money to pay—
but of course, we refused.
We also gave him a hot meal and a drink, so he could rest a little after a long day.
You can’t imagine his smile: he wasn’t just bringing home dinner,
but also breakfast and lunch for the next day.
Mr. Fernando’s night was a SUCCESS.
And for the rest of the month, food for him and his grandchildren will be provided by us.
