Over the next couple of weeks, be looking for a letter in the mail. We will be utilizing a collection agency due to the high number of unpaid bills. Our current accounts receivable, or debt owed by patients, is over $60,000. If we are unable to obtain these payments, we will be forced to close this practice.
Over the past 4 years, I have gone without pay more often than I have been able to pay myself. A majority of my help has been either my mother or retired friends who have worked for free. Without the help of Butch Thompson, we would not be able to pay rent. We have invested a great deal in this community, but we will not be able to continue unless something changes. I have turned down multiple job offers elsewhere, but I have always declined them. I may have to change that answer.
