As a birth doula, moms usually reach out to me after they’ve conceived. But the obvious reality is that some women may need a little extra help, or May want to be physically more prepared to be pregnant. These are just a few things I’d suggest to women trying to prepare their bodies to receive.
1. Herbs! Be mindful that herbs are strong and can be helpful, or harmful depending how and when you’re using it. I suggest a safe herb like maca. It’s great for you and your partner to incorporate it in your teas, smoothies, capsules.
2. Hire a fertility doula. I suggest a fertility doula especially if you’ve been trying for a baby for a while. They have more knowledge and experience to help with all the behind the scenes of fertility and preparation.
3. Stay away from processed and sugary foods. Home cooked food are important in preparing your body to house your baby. Healthy food CAN be delicious food.
4. It all starts mentally. Having the mentality that you will conceive, that you will have a healthy pregnancy, that all of your needs will be met, that your baby will arrive on their time with love and peace, that your partner will be able to hold you both at delivery. Allowing your body to go into meditative state and envisioning your body working in your favor for all of your needs. Allow only what you WANT to be thought and spoken on. The emotions of fear and lack of faith whether being kept in your thoughts or being said out loud May backtrack the process. Bring about what you think about, what you speak about”
5. Learn your body. Learn what I needs, how to keep it happy, when it’s on different parts of your cycles. From menstrual, to ovulation, to PMS.
Now I am fully aware that many women struggle with infertility for various reasons, and thankfully there are many resources to assist them achieve their goals. I figured I would share a few things that may help first timers, or someone that’s been trying for a while. Sending you all love and babies ❤️❤️❤️
