✨Double Miracles✨ Had the most special surprise visit from these absolutely precious miracle boys today!! They are the absolute epitome of the saying “not so perfect” embryos can become the most beautiful babies 🥹
After two failed single embryo transfers, we were at the rock bottom of our options. Given the very borderline quality of our remaining embryos, and the lack of success from our first two “superior” embryos, we went ALL IN and transferred our final two remaining embryos together. Sure enough, these two stuck, grew and prospered, becoming these two absolutely perfect little boys 💙💙 Such an honor to have been able to hold them both, last held by me together as two little embryos in their transfer catheter 🥹 THANK YOU for your trust in our team, and your very special visit today 🫶🏻

Congrats to Sydney, NSUCOM MS4 and Future OBGYN, (possibly future REI!!) on the completion of her Advanced OBGYN Elective on Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility!!
For her end of rotation project, Sydney designed this super helpful patient education handout on Embryo Grading — what the letters and numbers mean, what an embryo grade does and does not tell us 👌🏻 Fresh off the press, I’ve already shared this handout with several patients as we prepare for IVF and/or meet to discuss results. The founder was given a bracelet with the words “Beat The Odds” from a friend during her own fertility journey. This gesture of kindness and empowerment inspired her to develop a line of “wearable affirmations” which resonate with millions of women facing infertility 🫶🏻

Yesterday we celebrated the graduation of a most special couple, nearly one year after our first meeting 🫶🏻
During fertility evaluation, we uncovered an overlapping gene that would have resulted in a severe genetic condition in their child. Additionally, the husband carries an Autosomal Dominant Gene which results in substantially increased risk of cancer 🥺 Thought initially hoping to NOT pursue IVF, this genetic blow left the couple with few options — their first and foremost goal was to have a healthy child. Thus, they bravely pursued IVF treatment with PGT-A and PGT-M for TWO genes. While young and with excellent egg reserve, this double gene test would unfortunately limit our options. They ultimately pursued two IVF rounds yielding many embryos, but only TWO deemed eligible for transfer. After ALL the testing and preparation, we were dealt a horrendous blow when our first embryo transfer failed 🥺 Crushed, I advised the couple work with our in-house inflammatory/metabolic/reproductive immunology expert — the amazing !! Sure enough, the patient was found to have an imbalance in her immune profile, and with close and diligent testing and treatment, we bravely pursued FET with our final remaining embryo 🤞🏻 Sure enough, the embryo stuck, prospered and grew into the moving bouncing little baby we saw so beautifully on ultrasound yesterday 🥹
SO proud of this couple’s strength and perseverance, courage to continue after failure, and faith against all odds — YOU DID IT 🙌🏻 Cannot wait to hear all of the updates from this most special couple, and to one day meet their handsome & most importantly healthy (!!!) Baby Boy 💙

SO PROUD of this Strong Mama for facing her fears and boldly pursuing her dreams of parenthood ✨ At our very first visit, she shared her fear of the GYN and all things vaginal 🫣Anyone who has been through fertility evaluation and treatment knows this process involves A LOT of vaginal exams, vaginal ultrasounds, vaginal procedures in order to adequately assess and treat….this was going to be a journey!! With each step, she faced these fears with strength and determination. We worked together to make sure she felt at ease and with minimal discomfort as much as possible — including diagnostic hysteroscopy under anesthesia (rather than saline test and biopsy in office which can be crampy 🫣!) and our most important day of embryo transfer also under anesthesia. SO elated to share that after this long an arduous road, this special patient has graduated to the OBGYN 🙌🏻 What an honor to have played a role in your journey, I am SO glad we were able to provide a safe space for you in this process (so critical!!!) and I am beyond proud of the sacrifices you have already made for your child — what an amazing parent you already have been to this little one 🫶🏻

🎓 Welcome to the Second Trimester to this extra special and PERFECT little embryo, transferred exactly 10 weeks ago today, who will forever be one of my favorite stories and the epitome of “it only takes one” 🥹
We first met late in 2022, and faced challenges from both egg and s***m sides which ultimately led us to pursue IVF treatments. Over 4 IVF cycles and MANY protocol variations, we averaged just TWO eggs per retrieval (ranged 1-3 🥺). Many of these eggs never fertilized, and/or arrested in development. We had just ONE embryo make it to blastocyst (it happened to have the most perfect grade 6AA 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻) and through genetic testing, miraculously returned euploid. Knowing IVF statistics and that one embryo may not succeed, we tried and tried again to generate a second embryo, without success.
Knowing they had just ONE shot, and already mentally preparing to pursue egg donation in the event of failure, the couple needed time to prepare physically and mentally before proceeding with transfer. After many many months of working diligently on both their physical and mental health to prepare for this day, we finally started FET preparation. Well, their hard work and persistence ultimately paid off as we passed and exceeded expectations at every milestone 🙌🏻
Through every blood test, follow-up visit to discuss disappointing news, every change of treatment plan, this couple demonstrated the most steadfast hope and optimism. During one of our many “bad news” cycles, she sent baked goods to the office — a coworker she had referred to us for treatment had successfully conceived and finally had her miracle rainbow baby. The patient stated at that time — if nothing else, I will feel grateful that I was able to help my friend have her baby 🥹 Her gratitude and genuine joy for her friend, even in the face of her disappointments, always stuck with me — I KNEW we could succeed for her miracle baby as well. Fast forward over a year later and now finally we can all breathe a little easier knowing she’s made the major milestone of hitting the 2nd Trimester 🫶🏻

I may be *a little* biased, but this Birth Story is one of my all time favorites. This talented Mama shared the beautiful creation of their son in this illustrated *bilingual (!!!)* children’s book so that they could explain how he came to this world 🥹 I am absolutely floored and honored to have played a role in their journey and have a “celebrity appearance” in their book!!
I first met this couple in 2021 when they made the brave decision to build a family together. As a same s*x female couple, the major decision was regarding choice of s***m donor. After researching the donor s***m banks, the couple was really dissatisfied with their options. Ultimately, they opted to work with a known s***m donor, a close friend, who enthusiastically offered to help build the family of their dreams. We ultimately pursued IVF to generate embryos, and on our first attempt, our beautiful perfect baby boy embryo stuck, flourished and grew 💙 Their entire journey, complete with the IVF process, donor testing, and embryo transfer was illustrated beautifully in this book to share with their son.
Fast forward 2 years and now we’re working diligently to grow this family again 🫶🏻 What an honor to be a part of your journey 💙

Kudos to this brave patient on taking a great leap of faith, making her health a priority, trusting her body again ✨ After a disappointing initial testing, this patient recognized that she needed a break to take a step back and prioritize her health before proceeding. Through hard work, determination and dedication, this patient turned her health around through a focus on healthy eating, movement, vitamins & supplements, acupuncture & meditation — all of which have helped her feel at peace with her body & mindset, and clarified her road ahead. We met today to review our updated testing and lay out the game plan, with all parameters in goal range, I gave her the green light to proceed!
I love this beautiful beaded bird she gifted me today — a perfect symbol of hope, transformation, and new beginnings, all of which she was the living embodiment of today ✨ Looking forward to our journey together, and so proud of the hard work and dedication she has already done which will inevitable help us achieve the ultimate goal 🫶🏻

🙌🏻 Hands Up 🙌🏻 for this brave Mama who took her fertility into her own hands and pursued parenthood as an “Individual Parent by Choice.” While her eggs numbers were above average for age, at age 40, she was wary that time was not in her favor for fertility. After thorough discussion of her options, we pursued fertility treatments with anonymous s***m donation and succeeded in conceiving this perfect little boy on our first attempt 🙌🏻 Congratulations to this new Mama in taking this leap of faith, pursuing your dreams, and building your family on your own terms 🫶🏻

👶🏻👶🏼 Twibling Journey Complete!!! Kicked off my day with *the most amazing* email update from this special couple — news of the arrival of their perfect daughter, just 5 weeks and 5 days after the birth of their perfect son (!!!). Their long battle with recurrent miscarriage and infertility finally complete, and their family immediately whole with the safe arrival of their “twiblings” — two genetically related siblings born not as twins but in close proximity through due to two gestations ✨
Our journey started years ago after the couple suffered several devastating miscarriages. We completed a thorough workup and identified several possible causes of the SABs. Due to age, we pursued IVF/PGT-A (more than once 🫠) to generate several euploid embryos. Armed with our knowledge of several contributing factors to RPL, though also facing very thin endometrial lining and endometrial fluid, we proceeded with FET. Unfortunately, we continued to face challenges through numerous FET protocol attempts — the lining was never adequate. Ultimately we attempted transfers but faced miscarriages AGAIN 🥺 Now with limited number of euploid embryos remaining, I advised the couple to pursue gestational carrier and they bravely agreed. We proceeded with matching and treatment with their GC. TWO WEEKS before the gestational carrier’s transfer we learned the patient was pregnant — NATURALLY! This was not their first rodeo, and we all braced ourselves for disappointment, but instituted all of our SAB treatments while proceeding with the GC’s FET as well. The universe clearly had grander plans for this couple — the patient and her GC passed every single milestone, step by step, with flying colors each time. I learned of the birth of their beautiful healthy son in December, and today, 5 weeks 5 days later, I was elated to hear of the safe and healthy arrival of their beautiful healthy daughter. I cannot imagine a more perfect miracle-come-true, fairy tale ending to this incredible journey. Congratulations to this couple times a million and THANK YOU for your trust and perseverance through this unusually long and arduous journey, one of my all time favorite miracles come true 🫶🏻🫶🏻

🐘 Elephants are a symbol of good luck, wisdom, prosperity, strength and FERTILITY in Hindu and Buddhist cultures — what better symbol to have in your fertility office!!! Obsessed with this beautiful symbolism that brought incredible fortune to this wonderful couple and hopefully will bring many more years of wisdom to my practice, strength to my patients for this enduring journey, and of course good luck & FERTILITY to all 🐘
THANK YOU to this amazing Mama for visiting today with their brand new 5 week old PERFECT little boy — living proof that we CAN overcome impact of age and low ovarian reserve through lifestyle optimization, careful treatment planning, and perhaps the good fortune of an elephant 🐘!! THANK YOU and CONGRATS to these twin-parents in the making!! The Holidays will be extra magical for this Special Couple having recently graduated — now 10+ weeks pregnant with identical TWINS 👯 After a long journey — litterally years of treatment AND innumerable hours I. The car as they travelled from Key West to our Miami office for treatments 🤯 FINALLY, the fruits of their labor of flourishing and thriving. Following the transfer of a single embryo, we were all shocked yet elated to learn that their one embryo had split, resulting in a twin pregnancy 🤯 I am so incredibly happy to share that momma and babies are thriving, now graduated and off with the OB/MFM pregnancy teams. Congratulations to this incredible couple and best wishes for the most amazing 2025 ahead 🫶🏻🫶🏻
