the calories in vs calories out model never works🙅🏽‍♀️

the pervasive metabolism myth is if you eat less and exercise more you should lose weight ? Sounds simple enough.

But our bodies are not simple, they are intricate and beautiful. It is that exact model that fosters body dysmorphia, poor habits, nutrient deficiencies, cortisol chaos, and in the end, slows your metabolism to halt.

Because metabolism is an orchestration, with digestion, with hormones, with the gut microbiota, and is primarily cellular, and mitochondrial. It is an art of catabolism and anabolism that in its firm essence, is why we are alive.

So how can we improve and reignite this cellular process ?

👉get outside in the morning light for at least 15 mins
👉 eat a protein + fat rich breakfast within an hour of waking
👉 remineralize your water, turn it from dead and bulk to vibrant and alive with electrons
👉 consume healthy fats like your life depends on it, because it does
👉 adhere to circadian + seasonal eating —eat what’s in season and consume your largest meal of the day at lunch (include carbs !)

teaches the student that their hearts are delicate, but capable.
teaches the teacher, that they are the student.

in class, we philosophize our figures and reveal subtle essence as the leader.
the crazy culmination of all the teachers woven to create yourself as the teacher to then teach the art of catch
& release

I believe the practice forces recourse, and redirection.
And that that redirection is present as choices and new rivers that reveal themselves to all lead to the same, vast ocean

But the point right before the merge, between the mortal and the divine, we weave the good and bad sides of ourselves and find Truth.

I hope sense into the strangeness, and pray that at the end of every song, you’re called back home.

So the next time I ask myself why do I teach, I have my answer.

may you see love,
may you serve love,
may you speak love,
may you stay open,
may you stay humble,
may you stay true to that which is so much bigger than you,
may you show mercy,
may you practice forgiveness,
may your kindness not be taken for weakness,

it’s profoundly true,
that you are what you eat. but it’s not as simple as you might understand.

because you quite literally are, everything that you ingest/intake, whether it’s through nutritional consumption or the energetic atmosphere.

How you PROCESS or CREATE everything, through all portals, relies heaviest on the chemical compounds that circulate your process/ body.

Alan Watts details, that the body is less a collection of matter that we understand to be solid by the minds eye, but a vibrational process— frozen light particles of empty space carrying an assigned 〰️frequency〰️that can be felt through our smallest basic units of life, the cell.

every moment of our existence ruled by this life force/frequency/vibration/prana that infuses you, and me.

Practicing proper nutrition is of utmost importance when considering spiritual growth, because it determines much of your frequency.

What you put into the process that is your evolving body, metabolizes to literally become ✨YOU✨ and reflects the frequency of your energetic inputs and outputs.
