Anyone looking for an amazing best friend?

NASA has been waiting over two years to find her forever home. 💔😢

No one ever applies for her. And we don’t know why!

NASA is a 4 year-old Mix Breed dog who was originally rescued from Palm Beach County Animal Care and control. We selected NASA for her very outgoing and sweet personality towards people and her overall joyful demeanor.

NASA has been with our prison dog training program for 2 years. Despite all of her friends being adopted, new dogs moving in, and then subsequently being adopted, NASA has remained still looking for her forever home.

She bonds deeply with her person and will do best in a home where she can be the queen bee! She is affectionate and loyal, and as you can imagine incredibly well trained after all this time.

She has even been trained to be reliable off leash so that you can enjoy a life of adventure together! NASA loves playing in the water, and has never shown any resource guarding of food toys or bones towards people.

She is amazingly kennel trained, and can hold her potty for long stretches overnight. She is tolerant of all dogs in passing, but needs a home where she can be the center of attention. She does enjoy the companionship of some dogs, but prefers to hang back and have her own space.

She knows how to give a high five and speak on cue among so many other trick and obedience commands. She will be a wonderful family companion for someone who just wants a chill dog, or someone that wants an active buddy out in nature that still knows how to snuggle up and relax on a day off or in the evening.

We pulled NASA from the prison over six months ago and she has been in boarding still waiting. We have a trainer that has been keeping up with her training, and she gets lots of field trips out into the world that further validate what an amazing and great dog she is!

We’re celebrating our amazing veterinarians this week, too!

Unlike human doctors who get to focus on one species, veterinarians are trained to treat multiple species. They diagnose and treat patients who can’t tell them where it hurts and depend on diagnostics, owner interpretation, pattern recognition, experience, and more to make them better.

Every day, they balance practicing the highest quality medicine with finding affordable options for our clients. This takes skill, compassion, and a whole lot of heart.

To our amazing doctors — thank you for your brains, your empathy, your humor, and your endless dedication to keeping our patients healthy and our clients smiling. You’re the heartbeat of BBAH and we’re so lucky to have you!

Every one of you brings something special to BBAH — your skill, your humor, your quick thinking, your compassion, your stellar dance moves and singing voices, your willingness to help us with our silly TikToks, and your teamwork — and together, you make this hospital the warm, welcoming, high-quality hospital (most of) our clients love!

You guys make magic happen everyday. You handle tough cases, tough clients, comfort nervous pets, juggle busy days with a smile, and genuinely try to help each other out — we see you, we appreciate you, and we are so grateful to have you on our team.
