Healing your past isn’t about erasing what happened or pretending it didn’t hurt. It’s about slowly learning how to hold those experiences without letting them define you. It begins with acknowledging the pain you’ve been carrying, even the parts you’ve tried to ignore. Then comes acceptance not because it was okay, but because it happened, and you deserve to move forward without being stuck in it. Along the way, you learn to forgive yourself for what you didn’t know, for how you coped, and for simply trying to survive. Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting or excusing others; it means choosing your peace over the weight of resentment. And eventually, you begin to see your story differently not as something that broke you, but as something that shaped your strength.
