If you’ve been feeling abit unsettled, this is something you can come back to. 🤍

Alternate nostril breathing (Nadi Shoshana) is used in yoga to help balance the nervous system and calm mental activity.

Even a few rounds can:
• settle the mind
• support focus
• create a sense of steadiness

It doesn’t have to be long or complicated. Something’s it’s just about pausing and starting form a different place.

If you’re new to it, here’s a simple way to start:

• Close your right nostril → inhale through the left
• Switch → exhale through the right
• Inhale through the right
• Switch → exhale through the left

That’s one round. Start slow.

Some experiences don’t feel like growth when you’re in them.

They feel like confusion.
Like loss.
Like something in you is falling apart.

And in a way… it is.

But not everything that breaks you is meant to destroy you.

Sometimes it’s the moment you begin to see what you’ve been holding onto…
without even realizing it.

And letting go of that
doesn’t always feel like relief at first.

But over time,
it can feel like coming back
to something more honest.

What makes cacao feel the way it does? 🍃

• theobromine → Steady, open energy
• magnesium → supports the body + mind
• flavonoids → blood flow
• anandamide → mood & well being
• PEA → focus + alertness
• antioxidants → overall support
• healthy fats → help with absorption + satiety
• iron → supports oxygen flow in the body
• antioxidants → help protect cells

Simple. Intentional. 🍫

This is toning and one of my favorite practices with sound.

It’s also one of the simplest ways to work with your own energy, using your voice as vibration.

When you tone, you’re not trying to sound “good.” You’re creating resonance in the body.

✨ Simple, but powerful
• releases tension
• supports the breath
• brings you back to center
• deepens breath awareness

Your voice is a powerful instrument
and something you already carry with you.

If you try it, give it time.🍋

It’s not about adding more,
sometimes it’s about starting differently.✨

This is also part of monastery life.

Not just the teachings or the rituals,
but what quietly exists alongside them. 🌸

A softer reminder that not all growth needs guidance.

What happens when you stop holding yourself up?

Only weight, breath, and the quiet support of the earth.

From a series for my Buddhist art class.

Not everything in a practice is quiet.

Sometimes it’s the sound that brings you back, clear, direct, impossible to ignore.

A different way of returning to presence.✨

In India and across parts of Asia, water has been stored in copper vessels for centuries.

In Ayurveda, this is known as Tamra Jal, and it’s believed to support balance in the body.

Not everything needs to be proven to be practiced.

And if you’re using one, just make sure it’s real copper, otherwise, it’s just the look, not the benefit.🧘🏻‍♀️🍃

📚 Lately I’ve been exploring the space where Buddhism meets science.

I’ve been getting asked if there are actually books that bring these two together.

Not as something abstract, but as a way of understanding the mind 🧠 attention, and experience a little more clearly.

These are some of the texts I’ve been working with for a paper I’m writing.

Green peas + the heart chakra 💚
We often associate the heart with red…
but its true color is green, the color of balance, growth, and openness.

Foods like green peas gently support this space:
- love
- compassion
- connection
- emotional ease

⚖️ A balanced heart feels open but grounded,
able to give and receive without losing itself.

Simple way to enjoy:
Lightly sauté peas with olive oil, garlic, and a pinch of salt, finish with lemon for a fresh, nourishing side. ✨
