We conceived this project as an exercise in mindful utility; as a way of allowing an everyday item to exist beyond its single use.

In its first life, you'll enjoy varying hours of burn time as a candle (depending on size). Then, in its second life, you're invited to clean the vessel and repurpose in whichever manner speaks most to you. We want you to cherish this piece forever.

The Uma Ceramics and Buena Vista Candles collaboration was conceived as a sensorial interlude to rapid consumption. Each vessel is thoughtfully designed, then wheel thrown by Bolivian artisans honoring their traditional craft. An antidote to the disposable nature of mass produced everyday objects, enters a collaboration rooted in sustainability at the forefront.
