Public speaking isn’t just something we TALK about at KidStrong—it’s something we PRACTICE.

This week, we’re continuing to focus on Public Speaking and everything our KidStrong kids have achieved in practicing it. These kids are using their voices to show us what confidence in action looks like.

👋 From introducing themselves to the group …
👏 To cheering on their teammates, …
🦘 Building confidence through jumping, and …
🗣️ Explaining a strategy or movement out loud …

… these skills are the foundation of healthy confidence, social connection, and strong communication—all of which are required for happy lives.

Science tells us that public speaking helps kids boost their confidence and self-esteem, enhance critical thinking, build resilience, and even improve academic performance.*

This week we’re continuing to celebrate the power of the JUMP—a simple but essential movement that builds strength inside and out.

Jumping builds:

🏃 Body awareness and strength.
🧠 A strong mind-body connection.
🎯 Focus, coordination, and control.
🙂 Courage—to launch into the unknown and land strong.

Jumping is a moment of bravery. When KidStrong kids learn to go for it, trust their bodies, and try again when necessary, they’re developing resilience.

And that’s how kids learn to navigate life’s ups and downs! 🏋️

At KidStrong we know confidence starts in the body. That’s why this week we’re celebrating the brain and body power of the broad jump.

We love this jump—a move that involves leaping as far as possible without a running start—because it supports:

🧠 Mind-body connection: Jumping and landing with control is essential for better spatial awareness, coordination, and timing. 🧠

🦘 Explosive power: The ability to produce max force matters because it improves athletic performance and even reduces the risk of injury.*🦘

💪 Core strength & stability: Every jump builds the muscles needed for good posture and balance. 💪

🤸Self-esteem & confidence: Making a jump boosts self-esteem, which makes them more willing to try new things and take on new challenges in the future. 🤸

When kids learn the broad jump, they’re building strength and balance—as well as the confidence and courage to move through the world with power and purpose.

It’s time to JUMP IN.

Push-ups are a powerhouse movement for total development!

This week at KidStrong, we’re continuing to focus on one of the most important and versatile bodyweight skills: THE PUSH-UP! 💥💥

Push-ups support whole-child development because they are:

✔️ A functional movement that supports joint alignment
✔️ A core, shoulder and postural strength builder—which supports kids inside and outside of the classroom
✔️ Able to support discipline, endurance and confidence. Push-ups aren’t about speed—they’re about form and doing it RIGHT.

Push-ups build resilience, coordination and control, making them a life skill in disguise.

This week at KidStrong, we’re celebrating our kids’ progress in gymnastics-based skills, especially the push-up—a foundational movement with BIG benefits:

💪 Full body strength—Push-ups are one of the most efficient ways to build total-body strength safely.

🧠 Mind-body connection—Proper form requires coordination between the brain and the body, stabilizing the spine, aligning the joints, and controlling the movement from start to finish.

💥 Confidence—Gymnastics skills help kids learn what their bodies can do, adjust their movements in real-time, and work through challenges to build confidence.

That’s what we love about push-ups at KidStrong. They don’t just help kids get physically stronger, they help them believe in their own ability to work hard and improve.

Teamwork is so much more than “playing nice.”

At KidStrong we use team-based challenges to develop critical skills like problem solving, communication and empathy. Kids who learn to work together are learning how to live a happy, socially connected life. 🙌 🙌

Balance may look like a beam and a few careful steps—but it is SO much more.

🌟 This week at KidStrong, we’re proud to see so many kids conquering balance challenges and building skills for life along the way!🌟

While practicing balance, kids are also building:

⚖️ Focus: Staying steady starts with concentration.
⚖️ Core strength: Balance challenges activate key muscles that support stability and power for every move we make.
⚖️ Cognitive awareness: Balance stimulates the vestibular system (inner ear), which connects to brain areas in charge of learning and attention.
⚖️ Motor skills: Balance refines gross motor skills and fine motor skills alike, helping kids get the grounding they need for precise movements.
⚖️ A healthy future: Walking, running, good posture, even carrying backpacks and reaching for items on high shelves require balance and stability.

It isn’t all fun and games—even though a lot of it is! By practicing balance, kids learn how to move through the world with confidence, so they’re ready to face any challenge life throws their way. 💪
