We would like to extend a massive THANK YOU for everyone who came out to support the Udonis Haslem Foundation at our blood drive on Friday.

To say that you could feel the sense of community and love that permeated this building as we celebrated the 20 year anniversary of UDF, would be an understatement.

They way that UDF embraces this community is unlike other organization we've seen. They don't just show up, it's HOW they show up. Watching them move and work is similar to the warmth one feels when they are surrounded by family members at a gathering. UDF and it's members as well as Udonis Haslem himself exemplify the nature of family -- not because they are one but because of the spirit of adoption that follows them.

Every conversation, contribution and interaction you have with this organization feels like you are coming home to be embraced by a family member you've missed.

Their presence left not only our donors feeling adopted into the fold, but every staffer as well. We could say we are grateful for their partnership, but that would fall short -- we are honored.

Congratulations UDF. 20 years of community servitude, heart and genuine leadership looks good on you. We wish you 20 more 🎉

🎉 Event Reminder: Join Us Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, we’re honored to celebrate the Udonis Haslem Foundation’s 20-Year Anniversary right here at our Grifols Blood Donation Center in Miami! 🩸✨

Udonis Haslem himself will be joining us in person around 5 PM to share a few words about how Grifols and the Udonis Haslem Foundation are working together to uplift and strengthen our Miami community.

For years, Grifols has served the Miami area through food drives, clothing drives, school supply giveaways, and partnerships with local nonprofits to support families in need. Through blood donation, we also help bridge the gap between research and treatment, providing the raw materials that fuel life-changing therapies and advance modern medicine.

Who is Udonis Haslem?

Most people know Udonis “UD” Haslem as a 3-time NBA Champion, the “OG” of the Miami Heat, and now the team’s Vice President of Basketball Development. But to Miami, UD is much more than that — he’s family.

Born in Liberty City, UD never forgot where he came from. From his earliest days in the NBA, he poured his own resources into helping kids in need, a legacy that grew into the Udonis Haslem Foundation. Today, the foundation uplifts our community through programs focused on education, mental health, low-income housing, and support for minority- and women-owned small businesses — all while staying true to UD’s mission of turning hardship into hope.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Udonis Haslem Foundation, and we at Grifols Blood Donation Centers are proud to celebrate alongside them. Just as UD has dedicated his life to serving Miami, we are committed to serving our community through blood donation and outreach that saves lives.

We are providing:
1. Free vendor tables for small businesses looking to promote their products & services to the community day of event.

Need School Supplies for your kids for the 2025-26 school year? Join us THIS THURSDAY at 10am for our 3rd Annual School Supply Giveaway!

We are giving away a total of 80 backpacks and school supplies for elementary school kids in the community ❤

First come, first serve -- so please arrive as early as you can! If you miss out, no worries -- you can also have the opportunity to donate blood and earn up to $75 same-day. And if you refer a friend who donates, you'll earn an additional $60.

Grab some school supplies, donate & bring a friend! If you plan to donate make sure you have an ID, SSN and proof of address with you.
