The Palace Suites invites you to enjoy an Osher Lifelong Learning Institute lecture, “Movie Musicals Through the Decades,” featuring the gifted musician and speaker Brian Murphy. This engaging six-part series revisits the beloved musical films that defined generations. On Tuesday, February 10 at 10:30 a.m., the spotlight will be on the unforgettable musicals of the 1930s and 1940s, an era rich with melody, romance, and timeless charm. Brian Murphy, an accomplished pianist, composer, arranger, and instructor, brings these films to life with musical highlights and behind-the-scenes insights that will delight longtime fans. The Chef’s Table French Bistro Soirée was a truly memorable evening filled with flavor, music, and joy. Guests enjoyed a warm French ambiance enhanced by the romantic sounds of live accordion music, while delightful mimes added a touch of classic French charm. Families gathered to celebrate together, and the room was filled with smiles, laughter, and shared moments throughout the night.

The culinary experience began with a delicate L’Amuse-Bouche, followed by a comforting Soupe aux Haricots. Guests then savored a selection of beautifully prepared entrées, including Duck à l’Orange, Filet Mignon au Poivre with Gratin Dauphinois, and Trout Almondine served with Ratatouille. Each entrée was paired with exquisitely chosen French wines, elevating the dining experience.

Drawing inspiration from a team brainstorming session that began with AI-assisted party planning, Chef Hartman and the culinary team realized technology could help unlock a year of unique menus with no repeats. With "365 in the 305," residents now “travel the world” through global flavors while still enjoying their favorite classics. It’s a fresh, joyful approach to dining that redefines what senior living cuisine can be.

We hosted a Grand Winter Gala, welcoming residents, families, and friends for a festive afternoon filled with holiday cheer, live music, and elegant dining. Guests enjoyed carolers, champagne, a photo booth, and a stunning Palace Group ice sculpture, while children enjoyed the Kids Korner. The celebration featured a beautifully prepared holiday buffet and sweet finale, bringing all generations together to enjoy the timeless spirit of the season.

Our Winter Solstice Chef’s Table was a magical evening centered around exceptional food and beautiful ambiance. Residents and guests gathered on our outdoor patio to enjoy a seasonally inspired menu featuring favorites like balsamic beet salad, roasted winter vegetable soup, sole meunière, beef bourguignon and butternut ravioli with brown butter and sage, all thoughtfully paired with exquisite wines. The night ended on a warm note with mulled wine–poached pears, creating a dining experience that perfectly captured the spirit and flavors of the season.

This morning, our community gathered for one of the season's most joyful traditions. At The Palace Suites, Breakfast with Santa has become a cherished kickoff to the holiday season. 🎄✨

Residents and staff arrived in their coziest holiday pajamas, creating a festive scene from the moment the doors opened. Santa greeted everyone for holiday photos, harpist Katharine Honey filled the room with beautiful music and steaming cups of hot chocolate added the perfect touch of warmth. Our holiday breakfast buffet was a favorite, and the raffle drew plenty of excitement as winners headed home with fun surprises.
