The Key Clubhouse of South Florida offers free rehabilitation and employment services to adults living with serious mental illness in Miami-Dade County. It is accredited with Clubhouse International, a network of more than 330 Clubhouses around the world that follow an internationally acclaimed program that helps people with mental illness reintegrate into the community. The Clubhouse offers pre-e
mployment training, employment placement, a Wellness Program, assistance in accessing support services in the community, and low-cost breakfasts and lunches. Members participate in the operations of the Clubhouse by working side-by-side with trained staff in our Culinary and Business Units. Our History
The Key Clubhouse of South Florida organization was founded in 2008 by a grassroots group of family members and a young consumer. The group opened the doors of The Key Clubhouse in July 2010 in downtown Miami to its first 10 members. In 2013, the Clubhouse moved to the Dr. Barbara Carey-Shuler supportive housing complex, where it is now located.
