🏛️Standing Together for HIV Care Access in Florida 🤝

Care Resource leadership joined advocates at the Florida State Capitol to speak out against proposed changes to Florida’s AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP). These changes could limit access to life‑saving HIV medications for more than 16,000 Floridians, many of whom rely on ADAP to afford treatment.

It was powerful to stand alongside representatives from the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) and Miami Beach Community Health Center, among many others, as South Florida providers came together to prioritize patient care.

Our community health system is interconnected - none of us can meet the need alone. Collaboration is essential to protecting access, strengthening advocacy, and ensuring every person living with HIV can maintain health, dignity, and stability.

🌟 What an inspiring day at our Annual Meeting! 🌟

We recently proudly celebrated the achievements and dedication of our teams across the health center. Our Annual Meeting served as a meaningful moment to reflect on our shared mission, honor long-standing milestones, and recognize the individuals who make our impact possible.

A highlight of the event was the recognition of our Employee of the Year, Rigoberto “Rigo” Guedes. Rigo embodies compassion, patience, and service excellence - consistently providing comfort, dignity, and support to every patient he serves. His commitment reflects the core values that guide Care Resource each day.

We look forward to another year of expanding access, strengthening community health, and advancing our mission together. 💙

💡 Did you know?

Seroconversion is the time after HIV exposure when the body begins making antibodies. It can take weeks, and many people have no symptoms. During this period, someone may test negative but still have HIV and transmit it to others, which is why repeat testing and fourth‑generation tests are important.

A new year brings fresh opportunities to prioritize your health and wellness, inside and out. Many of us set goals to move more, eat better, or finally stick to a sleep routine.

But true wellness goes beyond resolutions. It’s about caring for your mind, heart, and body, and maintaining a healthy weight to support long‑term well‑being.

Start the year by choosing progress. Your future self will thank you. 💙
