Dr. Caro is the former Residency Program Director for the Osteopathic Psychiatry Residency at Larkin Community Hospital/Nova Southeastern University and the former exclusive hospitalist for Psychcare. She has been a faculty member at Cooper Hospital/UMDNJ in New Jersey and at Larkin Hospital/Nova Southeastern University. Dr Caro is a Board Certified Psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry
and Neurology with more than ten years of experience. Dr. Caro has great experience in performing disability evaluations as she has been contracted by the Division of Disability Determinations from the Social Security Administration. Dr. Caro holds a special waiver certification to provide Addiction Treatment with Suboxone to individuals suffering from Opioid Dependence. Dr. Caro is a sub-Investigator in several pharmaceutical sponsored research protocols. Dr. Caro is actively involved in advocacy groups for children suffering from developmental disorders. She is an active member for the Epilepsy Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and Glucose-Deficiency Type 1 Foundation. She has vast knowledge in health administration, clinical care, substance abuse, women issues, opioid dependence, pharmaceutical research, public speaking, advocacy for mental disabilities, social security disability, independent medical examinations, outpatient care, inpatient care, immigration applications, employment assistance programs, adolescence psychiatry, adult psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry and many other areas of the specialty.
