🔖 Save the Date!

CinemAbility airing Monday, July 28, Turner Classic Movies (TCM)
Gold Pictures is thrilled to announce that our award-winning film CinemAbility: The Art of Inclusion is screening again on Turner Classic Movies TCM to coincide with July's celebration of disability pride month, promoting disability culture and visibility!

On Monday, July 28, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will feature a Disability in Film Showcase co-hosted by our friends ReelAbilities Director of Engagement Lawrence Carter-Long and TCM’s “Noir Alley” host Eddie Muller. This one-night event also highlights three powerful and rarely seen films—Compensation (1999), Bad Day at Black Rock (1955), Ship of Fools (1965) and perhaps saving the best for last, CinemAbility: The Art of Inclusion (2018) — that reframe how disability is portrayed on screen across genres and decades. These cinematic selections explore themes of access, ableism, race, and resilience in ways that still resonate today.

Celebrate the last Saturday of summer break with a Mud Day!

This event is JUST mud and nothing else. No schedule, no vendors, no music, no activities, no expectations. Just mud.

Traditional “sensory friendly” events are still leaving too many people out. Mud Day is designed to give even more community members the opportunity to participate in community life.

The hours are super long, because we know getting out of the house can be hard, and leaving fun things can also be hard.

There will be small privacy tents spaced throughout the play area; in case anyone has a surprise need to adjust their clothing. The entire area will be fully enclosed with staffed double gates.

We will have a shower, with an adult sized changing cot inside a walled tent to clean up after playing, then the exit route will not take the clean participants back through the muddy area.

Mud Day is FREE, but registration is required.
