Random Thought of the Day: We all think of Job and how he was faithful through the most challenging of events that all occurred in less than a day. We think of Job's wife and think....what a wicked woman to tell her husband to "curse God and die!" Is she wicked though? Put yourself in her shoes for a minute. She lost ALL the same things that Job lost: animals, property, servants, and THEIR 10 CHILDREN!!! If Job was seen as "perfect" in God's eyes, then he would have likely chose a woman that was also God fearing and supported her God fearing husband. Almost any mother in the same circumstance would be stricken with grief unimagined and come close to losing their minds! I can imagine she was also angry with God and maybe like everyone else; blamed her husband. They didn't know what was happening. We get to see a bird's eye view of the story through the Bible. Job's wife likely loved God as much as Job and just felt lost in that moment! Remember, not to judge someone based off of one bad moment in their lives (heck...even several.....or their past). We don't know their heart; but God does!!!

We tend to get frustrated or angry when something doesn't turn out the way it should have. Leaving Costa Rica one time and found out my flight was cancelled. Of course I was disappointed. I ended up calling one of my cousins and ended up having one of the most impactful conversations at one of the most critical moments in my life! It was a transitional and challenging moment in her life as well. It was a powerful moment that ended up staying with me forever! Thank God I missed the flight! Things may not always go as planned, but sometimes God has something better planned. Also, you do have control over the way you react to the situation. You can be angry, happy, frustrated, etc.....it won't change that the flight was cancelled, so make the very best of each situation!

If you want to see genuine emotion and people that truly care about each other, head to the airport. It's amazing to see the greetings after periods of time of not seeing each other. It's incredible to see the tears as people depart from each other. We should greet those that we love in the same way daily. We should say goodbye in the same way to those that matter. Tomorrow is not promised and we need to stop acting as if it is.

Heard the testimony of a successful business owner today. He is Christian and believes that God inspired him with his idea. He has been really having a positive impact on lives, especially of military personnel (retired). When you have an idea / skill / passion / gift and put into action, it can grow to something amazing. He started at home with what he had and went from home, to small space, to 1,300 sq ft to 2,700 sq. ft to 4,700 sq. ft for his business. Looking for another new place now. Just remember that business is about SERVING others! It's not about making a profit for yourself alone. When your focus is on your clients and you look to serve them in the best way you know how, the profit will come with time. Don't let your dreams stay dormant!!!

God has granted me another year of life!!! I'm beyond grateful and learning to be more intentional about practicing gratitude daily! I'm grateful for being able to celebrate with family and friends in another country!!! Life is good! God is greater! I am happy! Learning and doing better at prioritizing God first and then myself 2nd. Doing better at not caring what others think and to live life on my own terms! Focusing on improving just a little bit daily! I want to love deeply and enjoy life on another level! I want to be a positive and powerful force for transformation in the lives of others!!! I want to leave a powerful legacy that reverberates thru future generations and especially of my daughter and lineage!!! Thanks to all that have impacted my life and made me better!!!

Success: In this day and age, many define success by finances. Someone that is rich, but suffers in all other areas: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, relationships....is far from successful. True success is a result of consistent, intentional, and disciplined work on self in all these areas. It's about being well-balanced and doing what God intended for you to do on this earth. It's about loving yourself, others, and having healthy relationships. It's about using your gifts and skills to add as much value to the world as possible. If you are not doing this and allowing fear, doubt, and insecurity to stop you from achieving all God intended for you, then you are not going to be able to reach any significant level of success.

It's experiences and relationships that make life more fulfilling! Travel more! Enjoy loved ones more! Create new and HEALTHY relationships! Use your talents and skills to make money! Become financially literate and watch your whole life transform for the better!

The ultimate goal in life is to be your genuine self! This is the space where you will truly be happiest. It's about being true to who you are, what you believe, and what you desire most! Doing anything else will chip away at your overall joy. We are not talking about being selfish either. It's about loving yourself, setting boundaries, loving others in a healthy way and making decisions that are truly best for yourself. Taking care of yourself in a healthy way has the impact of being a true benefit for others as well.

"The Cross should teach us that the last thing ain't the worst thing." As bad as life may get, please remember that life goes through peaks and valleys. We won't always stay down, even when it feels like it. There is light at the end of the tunnel, but sometimes the light is around the bend. Don't give up, no matter how dark things seem. Don't solve temporary problems with a permanent solution!

Amazing how things can change over time. 10 years ago, I was in prison and dreaming of owning my own business. 6 weeks ago, I was stressed and wondering what would happen with an aspect of the business. 10 years later, I have my own business with a wonderful team and making a difference in the community. I love what I do and what we do for others! 6 weeks later, my problem is more than resolved. Everything has shifted from what I was worried about. Prayer can change everything. God says not to worry for a reason and that is a command! It's not a request. It's not easy, but we need to not worry. "If you are going to pray, don't worry! If you are going to worry, don't pray!" We don't need to know the outcomes. We need to trust God through the storm and through any process. Ultimately, His will shall be done! Trust that! Trust Him! Proverbs 3:5 - 7 are my favorite verses in the Bible b/c it is a reminder of all of that.
