So much of our health depends on our lifestyle habits. NDs are formally trained in lifestyle counseling to assess, recognize, understand and provide appropriate treatment options for behavioral issues that interfere with a patient’s health and wellbeing.

They might use counseling strategies, hypnotherapy, meditation, biofeedback, and other stress management techniques. Where necessary, NDs will refer patients to other health practitioners with expertise in behavioral health.

✨ 2025 In Review ✨ What a great year for the Florida Naturopathic Physicians Association as we hosted our first ever Naturopathic Medicine and Continuing Education Conference, Roots of Medicine! While efforts were ultimately unsuccessful for the 2025 Florida legislative session, we learned a lot and made new connections and inroads for the 2026 Session with a bill already filed. We look forward to advancing our mission in 2026 and thank everyone for their support.
