Spring allergies always come early in Florida. Millions of individuals experience seasonal allergies, dealing with symptoms like fatigue, congestion, post-nasal drip, and irritated, watery eyes during the well-known springtime allergy season.

Natural remedies for allergies involve therapeutic nutrition, botanical medicine (such as dietary supplements, stinging nettle, and other herbal treatments), and lifestyle adjustments to steer clear of allergy triggers and decrease symptoms.

Naturopathic physicians focus on addressing the root causes of allergic responses and enhancing the body’s natural healing abilities to alleviate and lessen severe allergies.

As many of you may already know, the Department of Education has recently released the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which includes their extensive rationale for the new "Professional Degree" definition which excludes Naturopathic Doctors.

This change would cut federal student loan eligibility for future students by over 50%, threatening the viability of our schools and patient access to care. The Department of Education is accepting public comments until TODAY, March 2 on a draft rule that excludes the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) from the “Professional Degree” definition.

If you haven't already, please submit your comment by midnight TONIGHT at https://naturopathic.org/LegislativeActionCenter

Please also share this with all of your community and family members who also support this important issue and saving the future of naturopathic education.

The health of your entire body, including your heart, relies on a robust network of blood vessels.

When blood vessels fail to open or narrow as needed, essential elements like blood, oxygen, and nutrients struggle to reach vital areas such as the brain, gut, muscles, or even back to the heart.

Many health strategies that are beneficial for your health also play a crucial role in maintaining the well-being of your blood vessels.

Naturopathic Doctors (ND or NMD) are graduates of accredited naturopathic medical schools and are eligible to practice naturopathic medicine in any state in which they meet the state licensing requirements. In all states that grant licenses to NDs, graduates are required to pass rigorous board exams in order to be licensed as general physicians.

Currently, licensure is not available in Florida. Learn more about bringing Naturopathic medical care to Florida at fnpa.org.

Heart disease is the primary cause of death for both men and women in the United States. However, it is largely preventable if detected early and treated properly.

Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are experts in preventing and treating cardiovascular disease by examining the root causes of the illness and encouraging patients to make lasting lifestyle changes to regain and maintain their health.

Access to Naturopathic Medicine for All Floridians

Florida Naturopathic Physicians Association is working alongside citizens like you to create and maintain legislation that will give citizens the choice of natural medical care from qualified Naturopathic Doctors (ND or NMD). NDs are the only healthcare professionals trained to utilize natural, non-toxic therapies alongside current medical advances to identify the underlying cause and appropriate therapies for serious, acute, and chronic illnesses. NDs provide care for all aspects of family health from prenatal to geriatric care, with a special focus on creating and maintaining a foundation of optimal wellbeing for each patient.
