The International Nosocomial Infection Control Consortium (INICC Foundation Inc) is an international, nonprofit, open, multi-centric HAI cohort surveillance network with a methodology based on the U.S. CDC-NHSN, founded in 2002, to apply evidence-based infection control in hospitals worldwide, through the analysis of surveillance data, collected by the member hospitals. It has been providing training and access to online surveillance tools to hospitals worldwide. It is comprised of more than 2,000-affiliated infection control professionals in more than 50 countries, in Latin America, Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and is the pioneer and largest source of pooled standardized international data on the epidemiology of HAIs worldwide. INICC has shown HAI rates worldwide through multinational reports, published for first time in 2006, then after every two years. La Comunidad Científica Internacional de Control de Infecciones Nosocomiales (INICC Foundation Inc) es una red internacional de vigilancia de cohortes HAI multicéntrica, abierta y sin fines de lucro con una metodología basada en la CDC-NHSN de EE.
