👩‍⚕️ Katherine, our Occupational Therapy Director, brings over 25 years of experience supporting children across a variety of settings. With her expertise in sensory integration, motor development, and independence skills, she is dedicated to helping every child reach their fullest potential.

🗣 Miyuki, our Speech-Language Therapy Director, is a bilingual SLP with extensive experience in early intervention, school-based services, and beyond. Her passion for communication and individualized care helps children build confidence and find their voice.

Samantha is a Clinical Fellow in Speech-Language Pathology, currently completing the final stage of her training to become a certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She is passionate about helping children strengthen their speech, language, and communication skills in ways that are fun, engaging, and meaningful.

Through creative activities, play-based learning, and individualized therapy, Samantha works closely with children and their families to support communication, confidence, and success both in and out of the classroom. Maggy loves creating fun, engaging therapy sessions that keep kids moving, learning, and building confidence. From yoga and breathing exercises to exciting obstacle courses, she enjoys helping children develop their strength, coordination, focus, and self-regulation skills through play and movement. 🧘‍♀️💫

And Children In Motion will be hosting three fun and engaging summer camps this year! 🎉

Each camp is designed to help children build important speech, language, motor, literacy, and planning skills while having a great time through hands-on activities, games, and play led by our pediatric therapists.

Here’s a sneak peek at what we have planned:

🌟 Move, Play & Say
A therapist-guided camp focused on building school readiness skills through movement and structured play. Campers will strengthen motor skills, social interaction, confidence, and speech & language skills in a fun and supportive environment.

📚 Read, Write & Shine
A therapist-led camp designed to support handwriting, reading, and literacy development. Through storytelling, creative activities, and play-based learning, children will build reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary, and motor skills while growing their confidence in the classroom.

🧠 Think, Plan & Do
A camp focused on building executive functioning skills—helping children learn how to plan, stay organized, focus, and complete tasks. Through engaging challenges and hands-on activities, campers will strengthen problem-solving, attention, and self-regulation.

Stephanie is one of our amazing Certified Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologists here at Children In Motion! Born and raised in Miami, she has always been passionate about helping children learn, grow, and succeed. ✨

At Children In Motion, Stephanie is passionate about helping children find their voices and grow in confidence through individualized, engaging speech and language therapy. She works with infants, preschoolers, and school-aged children experiencing receptive and expressive language delays, articulation disorders, pragmatic delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and more. With a warm, supportive approach, Stephanie partners closely with families, teachers, and other professionals to create a collaborative team around each child. Her goal is to make therapy both meaningful and fun while helping every child build the communication skills they need to thrive. 💬💙

We’re excited to introduce the third summer camp of the season Think, Plan & Do! This camp is designed to help children strengthen the executive functioning skills they need to succeed at school and in everyday life.

Through hands-on activities, games, and movement-based learning, campers will practice important skills like planning, organization, problem-solving, and flexible thinking in a fun and supportive environment. Our therapists guide children through engaging activities that encourage them to think through challenges, stay organized, and complete tasks with confidence.

Campers will work on skills such as:
✔️ Self-regulation and impulse control
✔️ Planning and organization
✔️ Attention and focus
✔️ Following multi-step directions
✔️ Time management and working memory

📅 July 27 – August 5
🗓 Mondays & Wednesdays
⏰ 3–5 PM
👧 Ages 6–10

We’re excited to welcome Gabriella Fernandez, OTR/L, to the Children In Motion team!

Gaby brings five years of pediatric experience working with children in school, clinic, and home settings. Her areas of focus include sensory processing, reflex integration, and handwriting development, helping children build the foundational skills they need to feel confident and successful in their daily activities. From strengthening fine motor skills and coordination to supporting play skills, independence, and self-regulation, Gaby is passionate about helping children reach their developmental goals through fun, engaging, and individualized therapy.

Her warm, playful approach helps create a supportive environment where children feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to learn and grow, while celebrating each child’s unique strengths.

We’re so happy to have Gaby as part of the Children In Motion family and can’t wait for her to begin working with our amazing kids! ✨
