The first meeting topic: "What is Therapy?" Therapy is a powerful tool for personal growth, healing, and self-discovery. This class will explore what therapy is, how it works, and how it can support you in navigating life’s challenges. Whether you're curious about starting therapy or want to learn more, this session will provide valuable insights into the benefits of mental health support.

Cherokee Nation Education Services is announcing the opening of the Native American Teacher Retention Initiative (NATRI) Curriculum Team application. NATRI is hosting a four-day summer workshop to write curriculum/lessons for K-12, June 9-12, to be held in Tahlequah. The application opens March 1, with a deadline of 5 p.m. CST March 21, 2025. Classes are on Fridays from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. No experience necessary.

Our own Lisa McGowen's daughter! Way to go Addison!

Wyandotte Lady Bear wrestler and WHS junior Addison McGowen wrapped the season up with a trip to the OSSAA Girls State Wrestling Championships. McGowen started in the quarterfinals in the 145-weight class. She was pinned (2:50) by Cayden Buckaloo of Davis. In consolation round one, McGowen pinned (3:12) Emzley Miller of Bethel to stay alive.

McGowen then faced Kailey Thornton of Poteau in the consolation semifinals. Thornton pinned (3:12) McGowen to end McGowen’s second trip to state. Read the full story in today's Miami News-Record.
